FullMetalPanda: Maybe it was only in Hawaii... but the KFC fries were amazing. they weren't fries, they were chunks of potato seasoned just right. They weren't soggy like the crap here at the KFCs in the main land US. then again I haven't been to Hawaii for a long time so maybe their KFC fries are just as horrible as the ones here now.
LazyMedia: Burger King said the lower-calorie fries used a different type of batter....GODDAMMIT, French fries should not have farking BATTER on them. Slice potatoes, fry, salt. Job done.
Walker: They had good fries back before 1997, then they changed them to the horrible starch covered ones, then this new kind. Back in the day they looked and tasted like McDonald's fries. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Now my favorite fast food fries are Chick-Fil-A waffle fries. They even bring them right to your table.
peachy92: I liked them, but when you are charging more for them, sometimes, I will pick the easier, cheaper option.Should have sold them as a crinkle cut and stressed the crinkle part. I think crinkle fries are better.
The Bestest: They were okay at first.. as in the first few bites, but they had this weird aftertaste that made you not want to eat the rest of them.Also, chicken fries are gross.. who the hell clamored for its return?

I make my own.I cut steak fry sized fries from big long Idahoes.then I put them in a collapsible fry basket and dunk them in boiling water in a turkey fryer.This keeps the water boiling longer as I make them.Once they are blanched, they are removed and dunked in ice water to chill them.Then they go on a flat tray to be frozen IQF, if I'm not going to fry them today. (Ziplock when stiff)I put them in the same basket and then dunk them in the turkey fryer with peanut oil and a rocket stove under it on full blast. Take them out and shake the basket over a pile of news papers in a box and tos salt on them while doing this.Serve with Heinz 57.
tiamet4: Good. I usually get a kids meal and my local BK started making satisfries the default option so I have to specifically ask not to have them. I didn't hate the satisfries but I don't really like crinkle cut.
