he ran out the wrong door while she was watching TV.

Damn kids, using the wrong door all the time.

Perhaps he was being apprenticed to the photo center?

Damn kid just killed my retirement plan.  You know stores will be checking dead space now.

While this kid seems resourceful, I doubt he learned to live rough in a Walmart from the Natalie Portman movie.

Didn't they make a movie about this back in '99?

I'm getting a kick out of this story because I'm Farking from my hidden bunk inside the home and garden section of my local Walmart, this very minute. The secret is to shove your trash into the fat folds of the 300lbs+ "disabled" patrons puttering by on those motorized scooters.

Damn evil corporate Walmart. If he had been hiding in a locally-owned Mom & Pop store, he wouldn't have been evicted.

Didn't Jennifer Connellly do something similar in 1991, but at a Target? I did something similar at a Jamesway once, next to a GrandUnion, got caught, brought to the back room and had my parents called. good times.

The hell of it is the kid didn't even get close to being hide-and-seek champion.  He put in a good effort, sure.  But the real hide-and-seek winner here is the hopes and aspirations of the people who have to work there.  Nobody will ever find those ever again.  Bet on it.

Too bad. If they got jammed up during the semi-annual Lincoln's Birthday Sale, the could have asked him help out in Pre-Teen Maternity.

I am old enough to remember that movie.  Remember it being pretty frightening, wonder what I would think of it now.

The video interviews this morning have people up in arms over lack of Wal*Mart security.   If a 14 year old can do this, what could a terrorist do.     Yep, that's what we have to worry about in Texas.   Terrorists setting up refuge camps inside Walmart.

Actually, I've said for years that if a terrorist group got serious about really terrorizing this country they'd get about a hundred suicide bombers to simultaneously detonate at Walmarts all over the country - on Black Friday.  Bonus points for driving into the crowd at the doors in Ryder trucks loaded with ANFO.

/No, I'm not advocating this.  I'm pointing out that there is a slight danger, but not from what the idiots in Texas think.
//Most "terrorists" actually go after government targets.  They just don't care about collateral damage.
///ALL the targets on 9/11 were government targets.  WTC was and is owned by the NYNJ Port Authority.  The fourth plane was probably headed for Capitol Hill or the White House.

The sex scene between Judd and Portman in that movie was very well done.

I always figured the Indianapolis 500 would be my target if I was a terrorist.

300,000 people in less than half a square mile. A very small nuke during the Indy 500 would kill more people than Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. A cobalt-60 dirty fuel-air bomb maybe, designed for maximum aerosolization. They let anybody drive an RV right into the center of the field.

It's Indiana, though. Terrorists haven't even heard of this place.

Hoverounded, I mean. Not walked. Waddled, maybe. Or lurched.
