From the linked article:  At the beginning of the meeting, just after asking God in the opening prayer to "be violent against" the GOP establishment, Mississippi Tea Party Chairman Roy Nicholson thanked Johnson for getting "down in that dirty, muddy trench and exposing a lot of truth" in Mississippi politics.

That's Roy Nicholson thanking the guy who paid some moron fake preacher to lie about a vote buying scheme who also was behind the nursing home break in that lead to a suicide.

These people are all assholes and idiots who need to be (electorally) put down like the mad dogs they are.

That noted, "To be violent against" the GOP is just more angry, senseless rhetoric from an increasingly unhinged far right.

More proof of what we already knew.

This is beyond an inveterate gambler chasing his losses. This is an overly-voracious casino letting someone continue to double down on a hand of blackjack until all six decks are gone and the player is holding 793 versus the dealer's 16.

And it's delightful to watch.

God's been pretty damn vindictive in the past. The TeaParty might BE God's retribution. I mean they do seem hell-bent on destroying it.

I get what you're saying, but the dealer only gives you one card when you double down in blackjack.

If they think an omnipotent loving God, a God so loving he sent his only begotten son to die for the transgressions of all mankind, and yet somehow supports the shiat they think he supports, then yes, God has already spoken against the Republican party and the tea party and it will be wiped out in its current form in less then a generation and die with a whisper and not a bang.

Almost thirteen centuries since the end of gladiatorial games in Rome, but the bloodlust is still strong.  To top it off, he invokes his deity in his wish fulfillment fantasy.   I sincerely hope, that this Sunday, his remarks are condemned from pulpits all over Mississippi.

Not in Mississippi. Democrats are evil because Jebus and gunz and babbys and furthermore. Not necessarily in that order.

Best we might see is Republicans stay home and the Democrats that Cochran mobilized show up and pull the D lever.

The Holy Hand Grenade is mentioned in Monty Python & The Holy Grail. It's used by the Knights of King Arthur to kill the Beast of Cair Bannog... a fierce rabbit. The instructions include counting to three ...but King Arthur counts "1... 2... 5".

Just watch the video.

You do know the article is about Mississippi, don't you? They stripped it for parts decades ago. Save your concern for a real state.

It's how you beat a casino, fool. Once you get down a little bit, you start making ever more irrational gambles with bigger and bigger wagers. Eventually, one of your crackpot schemes will work, and you walk away owning half the place.
