Or you could just pony up the $100 and stop wasting resources on refrigerating all this ice.

Sorry ALS stuntman, I've already committed all my philanthropic funds to Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Wow, my awareness of ALS has been raised.

Imagine if he gave the money he spent on that to ALS research.

Wouldn't matter Lou Gehrig would still be dead.

No one is tagging me because I don't have friends, but if they did, I'd just donate the cash.

At least this is better than the NFL wearing pink shoe laces so we call become aware of such a thing as breast cancer.

they will.  even if it's only 1/10 of the money raised.  if the money wasn't raised, not even the 1/10 would have gone to research.  and, these stunts also encourage people to look out for more efficient charities as well.  it's all good, even though it appears depressing when you think about the money raised versus the money going to research.

Lame story bro!

I had a flatish tire the other day.  It had a screw on it.  It was low, but I could drive on it.

I called one place, they wanted 4 hours and $38 to fix it...thanks but no thanks.
I called another place, they wanted 2 hours and $47 to fix it...I laughed and hung up.
I called one other place, they wanted 30 minutes and $25...I drove there.

I handed them the keys, signed the paperwork, they told me I would be out of there in less than 30 minutes.

An hour and a half later, my car is still not finished.  I am upset yes, but cordial about it.  I walk outside, to the front, around the building, and to the front again, and see why my car is taking so damn long.  I also discover what all the noise and commotion was all about.

The owners of the shop were doing this stupid farking challenge.   They had a front end loader full of ice water, all the shops employees were helping load ice and water into the bucket, and not a single person was actually working on cars.

I step outside to see what is going on, I see them drop gallons upon gallons of water onto the owners and every single employee is happy as can be.

I am standing there scowling at this point.  The guy who help me get checked in looks over at me and a look of confusion and what I can only describe as "OMG, he is STILL here?" washes over his face.  He runs over to me, I speak very few words to him...he knows someone farked up.

Long story short, soaking wet owner got involved VERY quickly and the look of embarrassment that washed across his face was delicious!

Without me even saying anything he looked at me and said "Yeah...we farked up...you are not paying for this...give me 5 minutes and you will have your car...again...sorry about that..."

I'd consider that a cool story, bro - not a lame, story, bro. And I'm not even saying that to make a joke about the ice involved.

I've been the guy behind the computer who says, "DAMMIT! I'LL DO IT! THESE RETARDS COULDN'T TIE THEIR OWN SHOES!". (And violates nineteen OSHA laws in the process) "There! Your lovely automobile! (Stupid Farking Car) I hope you have a pleasant day! I'll make sure to send his wife pictures of the half-naked biatches wet! Buh-bye!"

I still have an eye twitch from that job. Replace "Ice Challenge" with "Jumpin' Rope for Cancer" circa 1999.

Makh: Imagine if he gave the money he spent on that to ALS research.

He posted about this after a bunch of sanctimonious turds made the same comment.

The out of pocket expenses were 175 bucks. The people involved donated well over a thousand bucks. The video generated millions of views and likely a lot of donations.

So what did YOU do besides b*tch about someone else on a website?

If BizNasty signs with Washington, will he move his parent there too so his mom can continue to do his laundry?

Steve Gleason did it fully nude and while having ALS himself.

Minus this one, and a few others, most of the challenge videos I've seen shared just show a bucket of water, someone dumping ice into it, and then immediately dropping it over their head.

That, seems disingenuous to me.  You could have warm/hot water, douse it with ice, and dump it over your head.

I appreciate that they took the time to show the collection, the temp, and a few other things in this vid - although - they appear to miss him with a bunch of the water due to wind.

Is anyone actually donating money after they soak themselves or do they just want to join the rest of the social media crowd and post a video?

WhiskeySticks: If BizNasty signs with Washington, will he move his parent there too so his mom can continue to do his laundry?

No, but he will need to know who the nearest dry cleaners are after wearing a suit and tie during the 50-60 games he gets scratched.

I both donated and posted a video. Normally I don't participate in these social media things, but it looked fun and it was a good cause and what the hell.

I did neither when challenged. I don't like being asked to donate and I find the water stunt is just there to mask that fact.

That was pretty cool, but I thought the helicopter would pick him up, upside down and dunk him in the fjord and return him to the start point.

Made food for hundreds of homeless people at a local park every weekend for a couple months.  Bought fresh food for several food pantries.  Currently volunteer for a CSA that gives food to the needy.  Why don't you go cool down with some nice ice water and raise awareness for your anger issues.
