For another [surprise], the seemingly lanky Spidey barely meets eye level with Nick Fury

That's because Spider-Man is skinny, not lanky.

I am Groot.

Now do the chart with some villains. I want to see the comparison with Eson the Searcher.

I was hoping to see Galactus thrown in there. Or maybe his pinky toe.

Does Storm's 5'11" include the mohawk?

2'7"?

That means Howard's "duck" is gonna be a meter long corkscrew of barbed love muscle.

I assume they're adding some height to Stark based on the suit, right?  Or is he supposed to actually be 6'6" on his own?

Though of him as more of a 6' or 6'2" kinda guy.

2014-08-13 12:44:30 PM
Is this the new thing? Yesterday I saw a chart comparing the height of major league second basemen.

2014-08-13 12:48:45 PM
Punisher's only 6'1? That's not imposing, unless you're in 6th grade.

In Garth Ennis' MAX run, he looked about 6'6 (though IIRC someone says he's 6'4).

// and Hugh Jackman is like 6', so we know they're not using the films as the basis for these

Has anyone on that chart not died or faked their death?

I'd like to see the Rob Liefeld version of that chart.

I'm not sure on some of those.  Thor was supposed to be close to 7'

in the comics, wolverine has always been notoriously short.

For anyone interested, this is where they apparently pulled the heights from:

Yes, and an off-the-cuff with no reference point doesn't mean much.  Are they saying he claims to be 6'9" in the comics, but he's only 6'6"?  Or is he 6'3", and he only gets measured with the suit, and claims 6'6"?

Same. Also I believe The Thing hasn't died. And if we're not counting the MCU, Nick Fury (Jr) hasn't either.

He did, in one of his first appearances. It ended up getting retconned and led to his mini series.

Not a crazy obsessed fan, I just read the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe as a kid and it stuck with me. Oh that actual useful information was absorbed so easily.

Oh, boy...

That's it, starting a dead pool right now. Who is the next super hero to die? Not counting Wolverine who is already advertised to die.

My money is on Dr. Strange, for reasons.

The fact that you not only extrapolated Howard the Duck's penis size from his height, but ALSO converted it to metric makes you, in my eyes, the Greatest Farker Ever.

She has...don't remember the details, but it had to do with the Shadow King for sure. I think he killed several X-Men, but their consciousnesses were restored in under two issues in the late 80s.

UNCANNY X-MEN #227 - Storm, and the whole damn team, die to keep the Adversary from entering the world. They are brought back by Roma.

Thing has been taller that 6 foot for a while now, unless he's shrunk back to his original height. Also add Reed Richards to the 6ft 2in crowd.

Although my Ex could be Wolverine in female form...same temper and attitude.

I think it depends on if potted Groot is the same Groot as the original who is regrowing a new body, or if he is just a clone like making a new plant from a cutting.

And the women's legs take up 80% of their height.

I know Hulk has been able to get bigger than 8' tall. Sometimes he's in the neighborhood of 10' - 12' tall. His height varies with each transformation, apparently. (i.e. every artist.)

Yes but they all stand on pouches to make up the difference.
