"He's flattered by those comments, but I will say this, I think Governor Romney has the luxury of making a decision later than anyone else."

If Romney runs and I don't really think there is a great chance of it happening he will jump in late and only if the polling favors him.

Pretty sure his wife is dead set against it for good reasons but also sure that Mitt is an egomaniac who wants the gig just to be able to say he won.

But he already won the GOP 2016 nomination!

/but seriously, has anyone who has announced over two years in advance, won the general election? pr the party nomination?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Mittens is an android who flunked the Turing test despite having all the answers written on his hand.

But what about Matt Romney?

Mitt's problem is that he was a walking, talking "uncanny valley"   he'd have polled better if he'd been an anthropomorphic bear or talking raccoon

They should run with Scratt Romney, he'll appeal to women voters since he has an array of erotic attachments.  Tends to have some trouble with his consent subroutines, but only if there is more than 40% flesh visible on the subject.

Though Crate Romney has fine melanin control and access to over 70 languages. Should be able to appeal to voters of various skin colors.

The way that he ran his campaign, particularly the fact that he bought into the whole "skewed polls" nonsense, leads me to believe he would have been a spectacularly bad President.

On his foreign policy softball tour he managed to fark it up with the UK and Israel.

Our relationship with Russia would have been much better.  Rmoney would have been much more sympathetic to his fellow oligarch.

Well it's probable that he wouldn't have gotten troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan and from his statements, he most likely would have sent troops into Syria and/or Iran so at the very least under Romney there would have been lots and lots of dead American soldiers and foreign civilians.

Others chalked up all the Romney talk to "buyer's remorse," now that Obama is struggling both internationally and at home and mired in low job approval ratings.

Oh, that is farking precious.

Oh yes, there's just tons of Obama 2012 voters that now wish that Romney had won. No, seriously. They're all over the place.

My stomach gets an intense hurling feeling whenever I think of Mitt Romney as president, and where the country/world would be. As bad as the Bush2 administration was, a Romney1 would be double-quadruple badsies.

It wasn't just the campaign, it's his whole attitude. He's out of touch with the vast majority of humanity.  The 47% comment, the "borrow money from your parents" comment, he simply cannot comprehend that he has ridiculous advantages over 99.9% of the voters and doesn't possess enough empathy to see it from another perspective.

The people who were doing well under Bush would do just as well under Romney, while everyone else would do worse.  The only thing resembling okay would be he's not really a religious fundamentalist nutjob, and probably wouldn't be trying to make everyone else wear magic underwear.

Are you saying Russia is currently a threat to *us*? Really?

Or that we should go to war with them?

I didn't know we were part of the Ukraine. WIERD.

Hey Fark Tag Person: William Jennings Bryan was polar opposite to Romney in everything but never getting elected. He sorta ran headlong into a bullish fellow by the name of Teddy Roosevelt. And he would never wear the (R) tag.

Romney is too arrogant to not run. If he believes he is some preordained leader of the nation, he will try to run again.

Yes. If there is another Romney out there, they should really run that one, because the last one sucked.

I always thought of Romney as more of a replicant than a robot.  As such, he has a four-year lifespan and thus, there's no need to bring Deckard out of retirement.
