SomeCallMeTim: They're being overly dramatic. He barely broke the hand rail.
bekovich: Seems pretty douchey that instead of writing off his semi and having to buy a new one, allowing into someone's house potentially full of squishy human beings is the better option?

Greek: bekovich: Seems pretty douchey that instead of writing off his semi and having to buy a new one, allowing into someone's house potentially full of squishy human beings is the better option?According to the accompanying video, there was actually a minivan involved somewhere, as well, and it was the occupants of that vehicle that went to the hospital. Who knows, he may have been trying to keep from hitting the minivan with the full force of his truck, as well. Actually, the minivan might explain the damage to the left front of the tractor, which doesn't appear to have hit anything else that's visible in the picture. From the position of the truck and its wheels, it sure looks like he swerved to avoid a car or otherwise, but then actually tried to make sure he didn't hit the main part of the house, as well. It looks like he actually did a pretty good job of evading things, given that he's driving a 70- foot long vehicle that can't really make sudden movements.
UncleCal: Our count in Dayton, Ohio this year, is 65 vehicles into buildings. Last year we had 109 of them.I've been curious if other cities have been experiencing similar events.
