I've seen him a few times over the years and he keeps getting better and better. Still throwing a fair amount of Husker Du and Sugar stuff into the mix which is great. Looking forward to the Cleveland show in September.

If he's playing in Cleveland, he may be playing in my area, too. I'm still pissed I missed the Copper Blue anniversary tour. That's one of my favorite albums of all time.

Ah, the Tiny Desk series.  With the exception of Bob Mould's presence, it's like hipster central in there.

Who else has done it?

This is very cool.  Looking forward to my lunch break.

Lots of hipsters, but also Bill Frisell.

I went through the list.  There is a lot of stuff I would check out.  Why on Earth would you have a show like that and not invite all sorts of acts to attract all sorts of people to all sorts of music.  If their audience is a bunch of hipsters, I think they are doing a good job of playing to them and recruiting hipsters of old and emerging hipsters of today.

Saw Bob Mould's Sugar perform during the Enormous Armoire concert series in '93.

I did that, for a number of them, and a wide majority suck, including the group with the saxophonist with a traffic cone jammed into the end of it.  Some were okay, one or two were actually pretty good, but most: awful, and given exposure because no one has heard of them.

I like how he just steps up and with out pretense or preamble absolutely crushes it.
