Don't bother.
Most dogs see right thru "weener on a string".
Better magicianship on AGT.

Yeah, that just opens up a new can of worms... Something they don't tell you about Border Collies is that they are OCD puppies. My dog would sit and watch that spot for half a day after that, checking it from different angles. The blinking light on the swamp cooler thermostat, moving shadows, moths. These will all make her insistent on finding where something had disappeared to for hours. It's the reason that you should use leaser pointers as toys with them, they will come and stare at the area where you usually point it when you turn it on, or where you last turned it on.

It's freaking ME out at this point...

1. That's a hot dog on a string, not a flying sausage.

2. I performed a flying sausage trick the other day, and my fiancee was definitely not freaked out.

And before some weisenheimer says anything, no, she's not a dog.

I think you are confusing "I see through your trick" with "HOLY CRAP FOOD!  GIMMEGIMMEGIMMEGIMME!".

A trick the SEALs have developed to Fine Art in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.
The ultimate laser toy, 1,000 pounders will do the same as a dog.

The principal at the school she teaches at was NOT impressed, from what I heard.

I would also like to see him hang a cat on a string infront of several dogs.

Depending on the cat, the dogs might be able to walk away with their eyes unscratched.

All I'm seeing is variations on "Ooh! A treat! Gimme treat! What do I have to do for the treat?!"

This just in: an animal that relies primarily on their sense of smell may not be fooled by a visual trick.

Sorry, that is not much of a dog act.
