Africa (and Asia) is(/are) hogging all the good mega fauna.


I read an interesting theory that stated the reason all of the megafauna we see these days is in Africa is because humans evolved there.  The African megafauna co-evolved with them and learned how to avoid these new super-predators.  Once humans began spreading out into the rest of the world, the non-African megafauna had no idea how to cope with them and ended up becoming dinner.
