I didn't watch the full 3 minutes, but from what I saw, that wasn't yo-yo-ing, that was someone playing with a piece of plastic tied to a string. Seems like a yo yo competition would have a rule stating the thing has to actually go up and down the string once in a while, but what do I know.

I can walk the dog, around the world and baby in the cradle.  That's when I was like... 'Meh, this is fiddly and pointless.'

/walking the dog is the most fun anyway

Yo! I can unwind with the best of them. I just get tired of seeing people knocked for how they choose to spend their finite existences. You know what's never going to happen? Someone being lauded as the "funniest, most insight ful Fark commenter of all time", but have at it... Who am I to judge?

This guy looks like he is doing, move for move, step by step, this exact same thing that last video that this had on it with the Asian kid.  I think the music is even the same; shiatty

This kid must get pussy two to three times per day..

Pfft.  Who has time for that?  There's yo-ing to be done!

while it's impressive, every trick looks the same.  Maybe I'm jaded by technology, I'm just amazed any kid would spend the time to learn to be good at yo-yo in this age.  Kids should be practicing at something that will eventually turn into a career like movie editing, photoshop, electronics, programming.. Hell even skateboarding or basketball could eventually lead to a career.  I don't think there's any money to be made as a professional yo-yo'r.

You honestly think this is his day job?  I guarantee most if not all professional yoyo guys have another job that actually makes money.

Yes, because that would be so exciting to watch...

Yup - that was about my repertoire, too.  When I was eleven.

This was my favorite - The Imperial

If your string was worn out, and you sent that yo-yo downstring, and it broke at the bottom, it would skitter across the gym floor like an insane mouse.

These were the toys I never understood.  Noisy ben-wa balls

All they did was clack.

I'd be more impressed if he used a real yo-yo and not one of those cheater butterflies.

Back in my day, we didn't have fancy trick yo-yos!

/don't they make those things with springs now?
