The one thing I take away from every Tull live video I've ever watched is how absolutely farking batshiat insane Ian Anderson looks on stage.

Ah yes, the classic Aqualung. Beloved of "classic rock" machine radio stations everywhere, who think JT only ever did two songs, that and Locomotive Breath.

when i was 8 or 9 i found copies of "aqualung" and "warchild" at a garage sale and wound up being completely obsessed with those two albums along with an 8-track of "Passion Play" i later discovered at my grandparents house (how it got there is one mystery that will most likely remain unsolved!)
Wish the Warchild movie had happened, would love to find a script online.

He also did a nice cover of Iron Maiden's "Cross-Eyed Mary" I hear every so often.

Fun fact:  the Jethros' last charting single in the States was "The Whistler" in 1977.  Shoulda been a bigger hit.  Anderson is no slouch on the tin whistle.

Another fun fact:  Gael Anderson, his daughter, is married to Andrew Lincoln, of Walking Dead fame.

Hard rock, perhaps.

Best concerts I ever saw. They could put on a hell of a show, and the music was tight.

Their best song.

What is Mr Anderson up to these days?

Is he an old man, wandering lonely, taking time the only way he knows?

Actually, he has a new album out.  And it is quite good.

Jethro Tull is officially disbanded.

He's a twitchy little fella isn't he? Be a good idea for him to lay off the coffee and perhaps start the day off with a hefty dose of phenobarbital.

Even at 9 years old I knew that ...And Justice For All was more "metal" than freaking Jethro Tull.

Haven't watched or cared about the Grammys (or any other award show really...) since.

Lars Ulrich would like to thank Jethro Tull for disbanding this year.

Except for SKATING AWAY, I never got into Tull or Ian Anderson's music.

All my Ren Faire/SCA friends, however, revere him as their idol.

BenJammin: Why is he dressed like the Klan?

It was a concept album theme for a lousy album -- the video clip is from a concert promoting the album called "A".

Nothing to do with the Klan. Although I honestly don't know just WHAT he was really aiming for with the "A" album...
