(Washington Post)   Once pegged as a great plot to drive votes in November, GOPers are already bored with the "Sue Fartbama" schtick. The question is what red meat could be thrown in front of them to regain their attention   (washingtonpost.com) divider line 204

"people fear that America is on an irreversible decline - like Germany after World War I, as one man predicted"

They really wrote that. So who's the charismatic leader who's going to restore the nation to glory and revenge it on the bankers and parasites who stabbed the US in the back and made it lose the last war? Rand Paul?

They weren't even trying to shake up their base. The Teahadists want blood and action (but not gore, never Gore) and the GOP gives them abstract, sterile legal action executed at a snail's pace. Fer Christ's sake, they didn't even line up Sam Waterston and some hot little number to prosecute the lawsuit.

/Lawsuits have prosecutors, right?

1. Drop the lawsuit.
2. Drop any more attempts to repeal the ACA.
3. Have a no-confidence vote against GOP party head Rince Priebus.
4. Force the immediate resignation of Bachman and Issa.
5. Issue a public apology.

Either that or hire someone to follow Boehner for the next month and whack him with a whiffle bat every two hours.

The lawsuit was less 'red meat' and more 'lima beans'.

Rick Perry. He's going to walk into a saloon in Texas and declare that he's the Beer Hall Putz. Then he will declare hotdogs for everyone in his new Weiner Republic.

Maybe the people of America, not just the lazy voters, need to sue the Republican congress for not performing. Sounds like a great cause for a secret 501(whatever) to gin up a little crazy for the election.

It's require a little posturing and sweet talking the media which doesn't look fat in that new dress and has a new flattering hair style and accepting a little money for sex doesn't make her a whore.

One problem for the GOP leadership, when you sue Balrog HUSSEIN Fartbongo for presidenting while black and then turn around and say he should be doing his job to solve Congressional problems, even the staunchest Teahadist might pause, scratch their head, and say, "That there don't make a lick of sense."

FTFA: "Clearly, it's really dysfunctional and it's essentially driven by monied interests at this point. It's really just discouraging. It just seems clear the people's interests aren't being represented."

No, it isn't.  If it were driven by monied interests, then the Republicans wouldn't have shut down the government and put us within a hair's breadth of defaulting on the debt last year.  Monied interests didn't like that.

Liberals could make just as huge of an impact in government, except for the better, if they would just get out and vote like the goddamn Teabaggers do.  Stop giving me this crap about monied interests.  The vote is in YOUR hands, use it farking wisely!

For a supposedly "controversial" President, Obama won pretty farking handily.  If I were the GOP, I'd be making the choice to dump the ignorant morons in the party, and revise the Party positions for the 21st century.

But, they won't.  Their jobs have never been easier.  And as long as they can win states and fark things up locally...then win the states again, they have no reason to work harder.

Six hundred miles west at a Republican campaign office in Urbandale, Iowa, people fear that America is on an irreversible decline - like Germany after World War I, as one man predicted.

How completely divorced from reality do you have to be to believe something like this?

I'm not so sure about that.  Yes, he won by 3-4 points, but that seems like a lot only because we've become accustomed to really, really close elections over the past 15 years.  And look at the people he was running against: a robot that openly admitted its pure disdain for almost half of the country, and a College Republican.

That election should not have been that close, and we should not underestimate Republicans' chances of winning the White House in the near future.

When you've convinced yourself that "the enemy" is "destroying America and Bootstraps Jesus", and have this view constantly reinforced by a major media news outlet, you can pretty much be manipulated to do anything.

But you know this.  I know this.  We all know this.  Why the fark am I posting?  I'm gonna start drinking and make some elk chili.

Had Obama been white, the margin probably would have been closer to 60-40, or more. Never underestimate the power of racism in the country. The unprecedented obstructionism of the past five years is due almost entirely to the existential panic of white rednecks and their Congressional proxies trying to balance traditional respect for the office of the Presidency with traditional condescension for blacks. The President is leader of the free world and should be looked up to; blacks are cleaning ladies, thugs and welfare queens, and should be looked down on; boom! goes the Teabagger's head.

The conservatives I know around here, they were upset the House didn't just impeach.  Even the ones that aren't "Republicans" any more but "Libertarians" and "Independents" and don't support impeachment don't understand why the House sued instead of impeachment.

You'd think, if they were an third-party actual movement and not, you know, temporarily embarrassed Republicans who only joined the T-P because they did not want to admit to voting for Bush twice and McCain and Romney, in public.  They will vote, they are old and have nothing else to do before the 4pm early-bird buffet special.
