Um, everybody who pays Federal taxes in the United States funds Israel and the country's armies.  Any other shocking developments to report, Ric?

Why the denial? Everyone already knows Starbucks pays fark all tax to the American government.

You'd turn it off when I was halfway across: Why the denial? Everyone already knows Starbucks pays fark all tax to the American government.

Damn if it isn't hard to find out how much they paid in Federal taxes last year. Isn't there a website that keeps track of these things?

Although Starbucks says it doesn't support political or religious causes, Schultz has certainly inserted himself into political discussions before. He has supported same-sex marriage and asked customers not to open carry guns in the store.

Although I'm not one to start rumors or subscribe to paranoid conspiracy theories, I might just have an inkling of who might want to start idiotic stories about Starbucks, you know?

It's not the company that funds people you may Hate/love, agree/disagree with. It's the highly paid executives who use the enormous paychecks they receive from working at the huge multi national corporation who do that.
The company itself loved everyone who buys their coffee, doesn't want any controversey and suggests you buy more coffee. Also would you like a mug, or a shirt. How about any of the other crap they sell. Buy, buy, buy.

No idea about the US, in the EU they're based in the Netherlands and;

This arrangement ensured almost no tax was paid in countries such as Britain or France and helped the group achieve an effective tax rate of just 3.7 percent on its non-U.S. income last year, its annual report shows

Liberal leaning company's don't support Israel. Like most democrats, they despise Jews, deny the facts about hamas killing Jews and think supporting terrorists is ok as long as those terrorists are killing Jews.

You have to wonder just how much they really must despise the Jews given how much the terrorists they are supporting hate gay people.

Starbucks doesn't even have any stores in Israel (http://www.snopes.com/politics/israel/starbucks.asp), Coffee Bean is the chain that dominates Israel's market. When you go to Israel they have what they call "iced coffee" which is coffee made into a slush. Its amazing

Wow this is going to hurt them when sputtering teatards (who don't go there because it's "elite" and gun-free) start not going there even more.

That sounds good but I worry the inevitable caffeinated iced coffee headache just causes the head to instantly explode?

Wait a tick, Starbucks doesn't pay taxes?

Wasn't there news earlier this year that Starbucks has considered buying a stake in SodaStream? That might have been when this rumor started.

I wouldn't say "dominates," but yeah, no Starbuck's. Also, Dunkin Donuts tried and failed.

I don't know if any one cafe chain dominates everywhere, but Israeli enterprises are the leaders: Aroma is pretty popular, and there's Arcaffe, Cafe Hillel, Cafe Cafe...

Last time I checked, Starbucks does have stores in Saudi Arabia, so I expect they're going for the Arab market rather than the Israeli one.  I picked up a neat coffee mug from one once that shows the Saudi Starbuck's logo.  It doesn't have the mermaid on it because apparently mermaids are "unIslamic" (either that or they didn't like the implied topless woman).  All it shows is her crown; the rest of her is hiding under the waves.

Based on this logic, would that mean that most Jews in the US are self-hating? ( IIRC, more of them are Democrats than Republicans)
