When he starts to rake it in, he'll turn Conservative. Then when he grows up, he'll run for office and be...

Oops, wrong tab...

Good for him. He has a refreshing sense of what's right.

He's going to have to sell A LOT of lemonade and cookies at half a penny each...

How long before code enforcement comes and shuts him down?

Good for him.

I would however, be very hesitant to eat a pork sandwich purchased from an 8 year old running a lemonade stand.

How is this legal? Is he paying taxes like the rest of us?

This.  Sad to say, no good deed ever goes unpunished.

He'll be tazed and probably shot because cops don't have to follow the constitution anymore because Obama decimated it. Then he'll be fined because he didn't have the proper licenses to sell lemonade outdoors. And then his parents will be arrested for endangering a minor.

The world we live in now...

As a kid, I could just throw up a lemonade stand and everything would be fine. What the hell happened to us, that kids can't do ANYTHING anymore? Seriously, even sending them to school only increases the likelihood they'll get into serious trouble for being normal.

I'm sure this kid will be fine, though. Hope there isn't a followup story about him getting shut down.

He is getting something for himself subby, even thought it may not be money. What he is doing it for and what he is getting is a wealth of smugness. So young and so smug.

At least until the health department gets the cops involved, and he isn't running a licensed business so it really is only a matter of time until he gets shut down.

Of course the 'bakeries' are med-pot-distribs trying to addict them young.

You gotta hope the Mayor or City Manager or somebody takes the code enforces aside and says: "How 'bout you just sit this out for a couple more weeks."

Well, in the cops' defense he DOES have a paring knife. A. PARING. KNIFE.

Pretty commendable, although I've ran into quite a few kids that were doing fundraisers for stuff like "Alex's Lemonade Stand". It's nice to see more kids doing this.

Obviously a lie for blatantly disregarding child labor laws.

This was my immediate thought. It's a cute thought to sell some baked goods to raise some money, but horribly naive when you consider local laws forbid that sort of thing being done unless you get the proper licensing and oversight.

Police may look the other way, but there's really nothing legal about what's being done here so the story is really just that "police look the other way as some people sell some baked goods for charity".
