Did Lacey and Brent get the rat-infested grain elevator taken off the National List of Historic Places?

/nothing is too obscure for Fark

The second tower is just for the extreme southwest corner of the province, which is where all the hills are. Tower One is still covering the rest just fine.

You can have 'em.

Cel plans with no unlimited long distance? Phone lines so bad that the DSL craps out 5-10 times a day? Weekly service to a town less than 50km from a city? 10 down / 1up for $70 a month, with no competition? Yeah, not happy with Sasktel.

At least they have a tower. Pretty sure the only cell signal in Newfoundland comes from a guy in St. Johns standing on his roof with a metal mixing bowl.

And in Labrador, it's a guy in Nain with a CB radio and a bunch of carrier pigeons.

In other news, there's more than one Farker claiming to be from Saskatchewan. I suspect puppet accounts.

Sometimes you just don't need that many cell towers.

I'm typing this on my SaskTel iPhone, so I'm really getting... very good service, actually.

Ditched my landline for cell. Never going back.

It's a conspiracy by the Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission.

I live in Calgary and this summer I rented an RV and took a road trip to Sask. to visit family and to camp. I'm a Roger's customer. In Saskatchewan, on the main highway and in Regina there was a weak signal, but everywhere else, there was nothing. 'Digital wasteland' I called it. When I saw their coverage map in Saskatchewan, I laughed.

The problem there is Rogers. I had a Rogers account when I moved to SK, and experienced what you're talking about. Once I kicked Rogers to the curb, it was all good.

Yup.  When I moved here from BC I took advantage of the opportunity to drop my poor service with Telus, so I got Rogers.  Worst mistake of my life, 3 years later I finally got back to Telus and have loved it (I think that they used SaskTel towers)

If you aren't in Regina or Saskatoon then you get hardly anything, if you aren't along one of the main highways then you'll get nothing, and like it.

Also, Rogers tried to screw me out of cancelling my contract, even though the terms were up.  Rogers sucks.

It's gotta be some disagreement between rogers and the province. If you look at the map theres gotta be a reason the coverage drops as soon as you enter the province. I can almost full reception in Russel but zero in Yorkton.

I love Wind. Unlimited everything for $40 per month. Only drawback is that you have to be in an urban area in southern Ontario, which isn't too hard to do.
