Gecko Gingrich: IIRC, THE RECORD FOR A "TRUCK SUBWOOFER" IS A NOTCH OVER 180 DECIBELS.
NBSV: 154. That's not that high when you get into big car stereos. 160 isn't that uncommon, and people survive just fine inside the vehicle at that point.
Fat Man Of La Mancha: Bass cannon?
gopher321: [mojoimage.com image 470x264]/oblig
xanadian: Done in 3/at least for me, anyway
inthesticks: Hotblack Desiato unavailable for comment./Spending a year dead for tax purposes.
Fubegra: They must be borrowing the monitors from Disaster Area's sound system.
Cyclometh: Keep in mind that a decibel is a logarithmic unit, not a linear one.154 dB is really, really REALLY loud. I'm not even sure it qualifies as "sound" any more at that point.
gggoddammitt: IIRC, it takes over 200 dB to kill you, 210 dB being enough to rupture some of the squishy stuff and 250 dB to stop your heart. Not sure how accurate, I only remember it as an interesting factoid while learning about dBm in mah radio class several years ago.
