Wait, 0bama lies?  I have been told for six straight years he doesn't.

In his 2007 comments about genocide, Obama at least seemed to imply that, because the U.S. can't prevent slaughter everywhere, it shouldn't take humanitarian action anywhere. But as President he has adopted a different point, first in Libya and now in Iraq: Just because we intervene in some places doesn't mean we have to intervene everywhere.

Only places that have oil, apparently.  Does the Congo have oil?

Slothb77 it's not exactly a lie . It's the difference between saying something to make a point and letting actual people die in droves to prove your political points.

He apparently is a human being.

He said he wouldn't keep troops in Iraq and now he's saying he won't send troops back into Iraq.... sooo... evolution?

If you say so, man. This announcement was made, what, 24 hours ago? All I saw that was critical was some of the GOP in the House and Senate calling his approach "half measures" and not enough (the Politico link that went green earlier had some of that). But, I am sure it is as you say.

VOTE BUSH 2000

George W. Bush is a true example of a COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE. He will bring honor and decency back to the White House.

We agree that $1.25/gallon is a ludicrously high amount. George W.  Bush is a former Oil Man with many close ties to arab oil interests. He'll be able to talk with the middle east and truly be the Inside Man to ease the stress on struggling motorists.

America is in no way the world's police, and has no business going abroad sacrificing young american lives telling other countries how they should be doing things. George W.  Bush will put America first, and focus on true Homeland Security by dedicating his administration to a mighty MISSILE SHIELD.

We cannot have the proof... a smoking gun... to come in the form of a mushroom cloud. By building a Missile Shield, American families will be prototected from any and all harm from rogue nations. George W.  Bush will combat the true dangers of the 21st century, all the while helping families grow at home.

By encouraging deregulation in the private healthcare and banking industry, free market forces will ensure competition drives prices down, making private healthcare and the American dream of home ownership affordable to all. It is unamerican to inject the Government in other people's business, and it is a core Republican belief that Government should be so small as to be able to drown it in your bathtub. Privacy, above all, is the God-given right of Americans.

Vote Compassionate Conservatism.
Vote fiscal responsibility.
Vote small Government.
Vote GOP.

Vote Bush 2000

James!: starting illegal wars again

Of course, any action against ISIS would not be illegal.  If you want to repeal the AUMF, go for it, but you gave the President a blank check to use force against anyone remotely related to al Qaeda, it didn't expire when Bush went home.

What is "trolling" about asking him who has said Obama is starting an illegal war by authorizing air strikes against ISIS? I happen to think it's a good thing that he is doing it, but that sounds like a huge straw man to me. So, if asking someone to elaborate on some assertion is "trolling," so be it. This article isn't even really critical of Obama, either.

I just feel like we already armed the Sunni insurgents in Syria, and many of those weapons ended up in IS hands, we have armed the shiite lead government in Baghdad, lets arm the Kurds, they deserve their own country for being the most progressive and level headed of the groups anyways.

And it would be like that Star Trek episode: its not violating the prime directive if we give everybody weapons!

Not worth reading the article. bush heaped another atrocity at the feet of American history by murdering (yes murdering) tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children and never even gave a coherent reason why. That's right down there with slavery and genociding the native Americans. Most of America just followed along like idiots 'cause war is so awesome I guess (even Hillary). Obama was one of the very, very, very few in America to say 'no, that's insane'.

If the article is alluding to him lending support to our troops still stationed there using air strikes, just pretend you didn't read it.

That isn't saying much.  Congo's oil production is a tenth that of Iraq.
