Cool.

I like traffic lights, no matter where they've been.

100 years of city managers and police departments subverting the purpose of traffic lights by making them impede traffic, instead.

Ummm... Maybe subby is a lousy driver? I've driven through Times Square down to Varick in about 8 minutes on a Friday afternoon.

/Admittedly, I was taught to drive by my father who was a NYC taxi driver in the early eighties.

They aren't traffic lights if they're "demand controlled." Then they're stop lights, because each and every farking one of them will be red.

Well, no wonder; subby probably sticks to the streets, not the sidewalk.

I read someplace the fun fact that the average driver spends 6 months of their life waiting for stop lights. I hate waiting for those farkers and make every effort to not waste six months of my life. People riding with me ask why I get pissed off getting caught by a red light. I say if I wanted to sit still I'd be on a couch.

When you are facing west at an electric traffic light at sunset it looks like fire on high.

This headline is ill-conceived and I'm sure a lot of people submitted this link with a funnier headline. The day that 100 years can be lived in an afternoon will be a cold day in hell, because it's my current understanding that a day in hell consists of a hot afternoon which lasts 500 years sitting in traffic on 7th with an almost-empty gas tank, a broken air conditioner, in the middle of a group of dozens of cabs where the cloying scents of curry and patchouli duke it out for the right to drive you insane.

Seventh Avenue? Fool. Everybody knows you gotta rock down to Electric Avenue. And then you take it higher

It takes 100 years on a single day on one out of every seven days.

Subby is a talking Barbie.

Also designed a different kind of traffic light:
