Is it the taxes? I know I'd hate to make a million bucks a year if some government took a red cent of it.

So much for Jon Stewart's plan to buy CNN.

I want to see Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz al Saud replace him (he's the second-largest shareholder of News Corporation), just to see the reactions from right wing.

This pig's descent into senility is going to be even funnier and more of a train wreck than Donald Sterling's.

I hoping for it being at the 'walking the streets in sheer lingerie' level.

Because ... you know ... Without government we'd all be billionaires with hot cars, loose women and big houses, right?

Oh no, wait, we tried that for 10,000 years. The "free market" gave us ... what exactly?

FTA " especially upon news that Fox was selling off its German and Italian pay TV assets to Britain's BSkyB for $9 billion. "

Fox selling off its assets.... to a company that is owned by Fox.

I imagine it has something to do with taxes - just guessing.

Which family? He keeps coming up with new ones.

He even let Wendy, the Kung Fu Pie Blocker go... and she was a keeper!

I knew that Rupert Murdoch fought constantly with Ted Turner during the years Turner was a
TIme Warner higher-up....maybe this was Murdoch's way of squelching his opposition (like Jesse Helms
wanting to buy CBS to "be Dan Rather's boss").

Rupert only owns 39% of Sky. He tried to buy out the other shareholders last year but the hacking scandal stopped that. He still has effective control of the company, though Sky News didn't pull their punches on covering the hacking or the NOTW closure, but wanted full ownership to be able to consolidate the accounts which would save him millions in taxes.
