thats unamerican at best, pointing out that the media may be in the business of trying to earn money!

I agree with FB- on this one...

Ditto Fb-.
Also, most inappropriate use of the word "analysis" in a title, ever.

Overpaid Slacker:
a·nal·y·sis
n., pl. -ses

The separation of an intellectual or material whole into its constituent parts for individual study.
The study of such constituent parts and their interrelationships in making up a whole.

It seems like an appropriate use of the word. Of course, whether it's an impartial analysis, or for that matter a completely mad analysis, is another question...

What a worthless article. This guy makes all sorts of criticism about editorials without giving a reason to prop up his own ideas. He falls into the very same traps that he's criticizing. Oh well.

Stalinism --
But where's the definition of "study?" I assume it's not a synonym for "blather."
Although I am going to use your "completely mad analysis" phrase in the future; with attribution, of course. ;)

I agree with maybe 2/3 of what this guy said. The examples of the media putting a homespun sentimental feel on obviously contradicting facts that he cited has been popping up here and there.

There is a great book about the founding of the eXile in moscow. Basically, two americans believed everything HST ever wrote, found themselves in moscow and decided to give it a whirl for themselves.

The exile seems to be an extended excuse for getting free sex, booze, and drugs while pissing off (and on) the people in charge. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just that while they recognise and sometimes acheive quality journalism, it's not something I would expect them to AIM for.

I agree with this article; self-congratulatory BS has gotten way out of hand

btw, of course it doesn't advocate anything, it just points out that some of this stuff is absurd, nonsensical, or just plain wrong.
