The southern influx of immigrants is already an environmental disaster, lets not allow it to become a public health disaster.

How has it been an environmental disaster?

They are crossing in environmentally sensitive national and state parks and leaving their trash all over the place.. and trampling endangered flora.  This issue has been known for over a decade.

Yep, they look illegal to me.

No, there is a very legitimate issue here. Having lived in AZ(And having spent a lot of time in a town 10 miles from the border), this is a real thing. The farmers and ranchers complaining about this around 2000-2004 or or so is where this started. They actually have a legitimate beef.

[i.ytimg.com image 480x360]

This gives no credence to the "Ebola monkeys are dressing up like Mexicans" shiat they're spouting here, but the environmental damage is far worse than a couple of rednecks on ATVs.

So, localized litter and erosion. Yep, that's an environmental disaster, all right. Oddly, most Superfund sites can't be cleaned up by a Scout troop.

Dr. Jack Badofsky: A- A- A lot of doctors are telling you how dangerous the summer sun's rays can be. So here's my summer tip: watch out for creatures that are foaming at the mouth. That's right. Summer is a prime time for abdivorus, commonly known as rabies.

[holds up a stack of cards, which he reveals one at a time]

"Rabies." But I doubt that you are aware of the many strains of rabies that you can fall victim to. For example, should you be bitten by an ownerless dog, that's "Straybies." And a foaming French poodle can give you "Qu'est-ce Que-C'estbies."

A- A mad Mexican hairless can give you "Alejandro-Reybies," a crazed reindeer can inflict "Sleighbies," a spider bite can lead to "Curds- and-Wheybies," and a demented gorilla's a potential killer with "Fay- Wraybies."

A grandmother frothing at the mouth can inflict "Crochetbies," and being bitten by a stuttering bigot can lead to "K-K-K-bies." Getting bitten by Elmer Fudd can give you a real painful case of "Waybies," and if you're making love to a woman and you finish before she does, she's liable to get mad and bite you. That's "Mislaybies." [applause]

I was once bitten by my former wife and got "Ex-Raybies." She was a radiologist. [some groans] A bite by a wry humorist can give you "Carawaybies." [more groans] That's a wry humorist...OK.

Being bitten by a rabid rabbi can get you "Oy-Veybies," [applause] and if you leg gets chomped on by a crazy poet, that's "Edna-St.-Vincent- Milaybies." And "Paraguaybies" is what you get if you're bitten by two mad Latin American homosexuals.

Linda Lovelace could get you "Fellabies"-

Not at all related to the observation.  The fact is, if you read the headlines in the politics thread, over 90% read as if posted by a liberal. Now I understand that this particular demographic is overwhelmingly liberal, but there are some of us middle of the road people that notice the huge slant.  Many of the stories that mock liberal talking points never get green light probably because they aren't right bashing.  Sort of like how the story about Nate Silver proving that it really IS the democrats talking about impeachment got submitted by somebody and buried. Or that almost any article submitted to TPM gets a green light.

You people laugh like it could never happen. Happens all the time in New York. People get monkeys then the monkeys rub their butts on people and spread disease. That's why it's illegal to bring monkeys into New York state. The ignorance of the masses is just too great to overcome sometimes.

In fact, did you know that in New Jersey, the government allows monkeys, and Ebola is wide spread? You don't hear about it on the news that often because Chris Christie is keeping it suppressed to avoid another scandal before his presidential run.

Obama, for his part, is in utter denial and hoping to keep the entire situation quiet. The kids coming over the border were a great distraction, until some brave reps in the GOP blew the lid off the scam. It's not that Obama wants Ebola to come across the border, but he's a savvy political opportunist. He knows that a mass panic plays right into his hands. Such a cynic. Obama has also been highly successful at painting the GOP as a bunch of unorganized crazies, even when they're telling the absolute truth about things like this. The all-too-willing and gullible public gobbles it up, believing the demonstrably false narrative that the GOP doesn't have the country's best interests at heart.

Purdue_Pete: I hate defending a Tea Part nutjob, but that is 100% not what he said at all. He basically was saying "with everything we have going on globally (including an Ebola outbreak) placing 1000's unchecked children into out local communities is a health risk. ALSO refugees are coming to the USA from Africa, Asia, etc through (not from) Central America.

That is in fact a valid worry - he should have never used the word Ebola though.... and he's still a dillweed that shouldn't be in office.

Referencing a conversation he had with U.S. Rep. Larry Bucshon, R-Newburgh, who is a heart surgeon, Rokita said they agreed there is a public health risk associated with the federal refugee agency placing immigrant children in the homes of U.S. relatives or sponsors.
"He said, look, we need to know just from a public-health standpoint, with Ebola circulating and everything else -- no, that's my addition to it, not necessarily his -- but he said we need to know the condition of these kids," Rokita said.

And I think the leaked report from the CBP was the source of his concern regarding Ebola:

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Texas/2014/08/03/Leaked-CBP-Repor t- Shows-Entire-World-Exploiting-Open-US-Border

The report reveals the apprehension numbers ranging from 2010 through July 2014. It shows that most of the human smuggling from Syria and Albania into the U.S. comes through Central America. The report also indicates the routes individuals from North Africa and the Middle East take into the European Union, either to illegally migrate there or as a possible stop in their journey to the United States. The data are broken down further into the specific U.S. border sectors where the apprehensions and contact occurred.

So yeah - there won't be backlash - he has a valid point on our now apparently completely open borders to the world. I am an extremely compassionate person, but we're farking up a lot of stuff lately.

Sorry, but Breitbart isn't s source, as much as a cesspool. I put more faith in things scratched in the paint of truckstop bathroom stalls.
