Yes liberals. Only central americans cross illegally.

You are as stupid as the Congressman.

Did you actually go to that link? :/

Nope! Has nothing to do with Derpstick's (R-IN) comments.

dwrash: Mrs.Sharpier: dwrash: Ebola... probably no.  But we do know they are bring other diseases like scabbies, measels, small pox, etc.

We should apprehend them all and put them in quarantine, like we used to do on Ellis Island, until we are sure they are safe to be moved elsewhere among the general public...

The southern influx of immigrants is already an environmental disaster, lets not allow it to become a public health disaster.

How has it been an environmental disaster?

They are crossing in environmentally sensitive national and state parks and leaving their trash all over the place.. and trampling endangered flora.  This issue has been known for over a decade.

So the browniest people are sneaking up across the border with the brown people bringing a brown disease that could force all the white men to die and the white wimmin to be found?

2014-08-05 09:15:18 AM
If he were really concerned about health and not just about creating a political climate of fear, wouldn't he be advocating for funds to provide medical screening for immigrant children rather than have them slip surreptitiously into the underbelly of the nation? More and better housing for them so they don't live in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions that precipitate disease?

But no, fear justifies power.

CheapEngineer: Purdue_Pete: I hate defending a Tea Part nutjob, but that is 100% not what he said at all. He basically was saying "with everything we have going on globally (including an Ebola outbreak) placing 1000's unchecked children into out local communities is a health risk. ALSO refugees are coming to the USA from Africa, Asia, etc through (not from) Central America.

That is in fact a valid worry - he should have never used the word Ebola though.... and he's still a dillweed that shouldn't be in office.

Referencing a conversation he had with U.S. Rep. Larry Bucshon, R-Newburgh, who is a heart surgeon, Rokita said they agreed there is a public health risk associated with the federal refugee agency placing immigrant children in the homes of U.S. relatives or sponsors.
"He said, look, we need to know just from a public-health standpoint, with Ebola circulating and everything else -- no, that's my addition to it, not necessarily his -- but he said we need to know the condition of these kids," Rokita said.

And I think the leaked report from the CBP was the source of his concern regarding Ebola:

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Texas/2014/08/03/Leaked-CBP-Repor t- Shows-Entire-World-Exploiting-Open-US-Border

The report reveals the apprehension numbers ranging from 2010 through July 2014. It shows that most of the human smuggling from Syria and Albania into the U.S. comes through Central America. The report also indicates the routes individuals from North Africa and the Middle East take into the European Union, either to illegally migrate there or as a possible stop in their journey to the United States. The data are broken down further into the specific U.S. border sectors where the apprehensions and contact occurred.

So yeah - there won't be backlash - he has a valid point on our now apparently completely open borders to the world. I am an extremely compassionate person, but we're farking up a lot of stuff lately.

Sorry, but Breitbart isn't s source, as much as a cesspool. I put more faith in things scratched in the paint of truckstop bathroom stalls.

However, TB kills about 1.2M world-wide per year and that has in FACT been identified as present with a number of border crossers. The Ebola charge is remarkably unfounded, but might happen. My crystal ball fell off the table and broke so I'm at a lose for predicting the future right now.

I'm curious how you think the poors are crossing a minimum of 2,800 miles of ocean... Occasional people is one thing(Which this is), but to be an invasion, they need a real way to cross the farking ocean, there is not a pedestrian tunnel from Africa to South America, nor is there one to Central America. You should ask the brain trust at Brietbart, they probably have a line on this. We all know that they are the most accurate, honest news agency out there, and fully vet their sources. They're so upright and honest, they probably have somebody waiting just to answer YOUR question.

Let's assume that Breitbart article is telling the truth: kids from West African countries that are currently experiencing a massive Ebola outbreak are getting run through smuggling rings to eventually get to the southern border of America. The incubation period of Ebola is, on the very high end, a few weeks. If those kids are going from the western part of Africa up to the northern part of Africa, then into the European Union, then to a Central American country, and then finally up to the border with Mexico, how quickly could they possibly make that trip? A month maybe? If any of those kids had Ebola, they'd be dead long before they even got to this hemisphere. And on the completely ridiculous chance that they did make it to America, Ebola is transferred through contact with body fluids like blood, urine, vomit, feces, and sweat. Ebola in Africa is really contagious because they generally lack public sanitation. When was the last time you saw sewage flowing down the streets anywhere in this country other than Detroit?

Like you, I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with saying we need to do a health screening of the refugees streaming across the border. I even said so when I posted this story on Facebook. But the pathological need to say the most batshiat insane things...I don't get it. I would never be able to vote for this guy if he were running in my district because he apparently thinks saying the stupidest possible things will make him more attractive as a Congressman. They make him completely unqualified IMO.

Jackson Herring: WHAT IF MONKEYS CROSS OUR POROUS BORDER TO THE SOUTH AND THEN RUB THEIR BUTTHOLES ON US CAUSING AN EBOLA EPIDEMIC

WHAT THEN

You people laugh like it could never happen. Happens all the time in New York. People get monkeys then the monkeys rub their butts on people and spread disease. That's why it's illegal to bring monkeys into New York state. The ignorance of the masses is just too great to overcome sometimes.

In fact, did you know that in New Jersey, the government allows monkeys, and Ebola is wide spread? You don't hear about it on the news that often because Chris Christie is keeping it suppressed to avoid another scandal before his presidential run.

Obama, for his part, is in utter denial and hoping to keep the entire situation quiet. The kids coming over the border were a great distraction, until some brave reps in the GOP blew the lid off the scam. It's not that Obama wants Ebola to come across the border, but he's a savvy political opportunist. He knows that a mass panic plays right into his hands. Such a cynic. Obama has also been highly successful at painting the GOP as a bunch of unorganized crazies, even when they're telling the absolute truth about things like this. The all-too-willing and gullible public gobbles it up, believing the demonstrably false narrative that the GOP doesn't have the country's best interests at heart.

International flights land at Newark and JFK and Atlanta every day from Africa.

Every couple years I herd a bunch of old, probably immune-weakened white Americans on adventure travel trips through Asia. Places where every order of animals live in the household in a perfect harmony of sharing viruses. Ideal incubators for a plague.

And then we all come home and drive / fly to every point in the country with many stops along the way.

This guy's a dangerous idiot.

There's a legitimate health concern with people coming out of Central America carrying communicable diseases into the United States.  Of course, all of the kids coming in should be tested and held for a period of observation to make sure nothing particularly nasty comes into the country.  Absolutely legitimate concern.  Totally fine with that.

Then you have this guy going off about Ebola, and turning the minor - but legitimate - health concern of refugees crossing the border into a political football to scare people and blame the Executive Branch.  That's irresponsible from every conceivable angle.

It's mostly the first one: stupid people being elected to congress by stupid voters, resulting in stupid positions.

However, the few who are in the second category are the ones actually running the party. The sociopathic billionaires the party actually serves are happy to cater to moronic rubes with idiotic positions on "social issues" so that they (the billionaries) can enact their actual goals of setting up government to cater to them and their business interests. In this case, the voters are just useful idiots. I'd also lump Ted Cruz into the latter group, since he almost certainly doesn't believe anything he says to get the rubes going, but is using them as a vehicle for his own personal advancement.
