There's a lot of money in World of Tanks.

static.ongamers.com

Don't forget that Fury will probably make quite a bit of money, given the cast, and Wargaming is counting on that to correspond to even more interest in WoT.

I like WoT and I think they chose one of the very best TDs for their article picture.

Currently working on getting my lvl X 50M tank....without spending any 'real' money. It takes a looooong time just grinding.

I've tried twice to download. And given up twice. Best guestimate both times was 18+ hours, fark that. Ended up joining War Thunder, only took 6 hours.

Turn off torrenting. For some reason, WoT's torrenting is absolutely  awful and you're better off not using it.

Enjoy it while it lasts. WG is apparently taking that tank line out back and putting two in the back of its head "soon". At least, that'll be the net effect of moving the E-50 to tier 10 and putting a third goddamn Panther as the tier 9.

Wut the häll Wargaming? good thing i'm not grinding that line because last thing the game needs is another Panther. A Fail Panther was ridicilous addition enough.

Yeah, there is a reason I haven't played in six weeks.  Getting very tired of the whole thing.  Losing the E50M might be the last straw.  WTF is a "TurboPanther"?

2014-08-05 02:59:58 PM
I've been playing a lot of WoT since they released it on the Xbox 360.  Even the watered down version on Xbox is a ton of fun and FREE.  This type of free to play model is kinda new on the 360 and I hope there are more games to come like this.  The previous FTP games are more simple arcade type castle defense/empire building type stuff.  Also WG is adding new maps and tanks at a rate of about once a month now.

Just bought a tier IX Conqueror and not too impressed with it yet, things will get better once I put the tier X gun on it :).

Oh and I like the way WoT does the FTP format, they really avoid the pay to win problem, although some of the tanks that cost real money are ridiculously overpowered like the "Freedom" tank.

/all this is refers to the Xbox360 version

The Panther at tier 7 is manageable (the 3002m is the Panther at the tier is should be if you want it), the Panther II at tier 8 is more than fine if played correctly. The proposed change of making the e50 and 50m one tank with a selectable hull for the one you want has been talked about for a long time and it won't be the only one like that if optional hulls ever get implemented. If you don't want the "Turbo Panther" I can't help you.

Yeah, manageable if you're not one to use gold ammo at all and don't mind tier 5 DPM on a tier 7 medium. Then again, almost every tier 7 medium is crap so the Panther is hardly a stand-out at that tier and class...at least it has penetration. The Panther II at least has a gun that plays into its strengths as a tank, which is all the world of difference.

The thing about the Panther ausf. F is that's  all speculation, and assumes WG will step away from historical accuracy for the sake of game balance...which they  only seem to do when a tank is overpowered for its tier and class. I'd  very strongly bet on them going with the "historical" (i.e. planned) gun loadout, with the justification the thing will have the specific power to flank and that players can always buy gold, and damn the notion of viable DPM for a tier 9 medium.

Why not install both?

Also, I have the opposite problem with WoT: Fast install or patch in WoT, slow install or patch with WarThunder.
