How it should be done. A BBC News bulletin with the talkback track. The newsreader hears all this through his ear at all time, most BBC newsreader use open talkback.

It's wankers like them that rave how hilarious the Banker man movies are. Then you go see them and it's nothing more than watching your local news except you drop $12 to watch it for 2 hours.

I am not sure what else would be expected of a newscaster without a script - is he going to recite an excerpt from war and peace, jaw about things he read on Stephen Fry's twitter, or guess what the news might be that day?

This Australian news anchor who lost his script...he probably still came off as more competent
than most people who read news on American TV.  (CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, networks, local..
doesn't matter; they're all jerks.)
