1999, 2009... same difference.

I can't help but love Chris Pratt. His character Andy on Parks and Rec is a character that I typically hate. The buffoonish manchild that is a bit of a d-bag always irritates me (that's the impression I got of his character in season 1, anyway). But god damn, he made it the most lovable character on the show. Now he's killing it on the big screen and I couldn't be happier.

And his lip syncing song and dance number at the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy was pure awesome.

I'm the same way. I didn't really like the Andy Dwyer character, but I do think Chris Pratt is great in Lego Movie and GotG.

Still blows my mind that this is the same guy who convincingly played the DEVGRU Navy Seal operator in Zero Dark Thirty.  SAME GUY.  And he had only a very small screen time as Scott Hatteberg in Moneyball, but made it a sympathetic role.

Great hope for his career, but I'm worried that he might reach Seth Rogen WTF-is-he-doing-here over-saturation as another goofy manchild, at this rate.  But he has a much better acting range, so that's a big plus.

They aren't still using the premise that "good" dinosaurs help the humans fight the "bad" dinosaurs in Jurassic World, right?

Well.  To be fair, they rewrote his character in season two of Parks and Recreation to be more of a lovable goofball than a douchy-douche.

Yeah, they completely redid his character in Season 2. It was like practically introducing a new character with the same actor.

Crowning moment of awesome: any time he role plays as FBI agent Burt Macklin.

As a sports junkie, that home run scene is one of my all-time favorite movie scenes.  It's way better, IMO, than the one in The Natural.  (Probably because it was a faithful re-creation of a real event that was almost too amazing to believe)

Good news, I'd almost given up hope that they'd made a second Jurassic Park  movie.

To be honest, everything was re-written for Season 2 because Season 1 was so awful.

I still recommend for people to just skip the first season and start with the second. Things don't even really start getting awesome till Chris and Ben arrive, anyways.

Definitely. The first season was pretty bad, but the show made a great comeback after that.

put on some thick sunglasses, have some facial hair and a big build then don't talk much.  I don't see how that's a challenge.

Well there was a similar amount of raging backwoods morons trying to convince everybody that the apocalypse was nigh both years.

They toned down Leslie Knope a bit after season one, that helped a lot.  FOX needs to do the same thing with Jake Peralta in Brooklyn Nine Nine and that comedy will become a lot more palatable as well.  The ensemble cast in both shows was pretty good from the get go but the leads were way too over the top wacky in their first seasons.
