Don't expect a lot of action on this thread since most of our British brethren are likely asleep, but why the hell not?

And at some point, midpoint will have to give us the data for FFPL

ESPN Deportes I think, otherwise, the WatchESPN app.

I'm thinking of doing a midweek day thread to catch some of the non-weekend regulars. Or if you want credit for the greenlight, submit it Wednesday and report the link so that we can bump it.

I could do something like that.  Are there any midweek matches?  Or just doing it for funsies?

/saw Liverpool in Chicago.  It was amazeballs

I can't bring myself to care much about this match, even given my fandom allegiance to the 'pool.

I say twenty minutes in, someone commits a hard foul, then something something OH MY GOD VAN GAAL AND RODGERS ARE FIST FIGHTING ON THE SIDELINES and then everyone goes home and is perfectly rested for opening weekend.

Yeah, its still the Reds though.

Van Gaal would crush Rodgers

It might be preseason, but any chance to beat those Manc bastards must be taken.

Fair enough.

Only game I've been able to see (and just on the TV) was the game this weekend that was in Charlotte. We looked decent, but dear god in heaven AC Milan was awful.

Just for fun, and to get the Premier League people back on track and hit some of the new people that aren't necessarily around on the weekend.

I considered trying to make it to the Arsenal/Red Bulls game, but I decided against it: NYC is pretty expensive, the tickets were expensive, and I figured that half the team would be out to recuperate and get time off after the World Cup. In the end, I made the right decision. Would love to see them live, though.

Olympiakos did precisely nothing until the last 5 minutes.

Sounds good, I can throw something up early Wednesday.

I didn't know anything about this tournament (ignored the email from LFC) until my wife called we one day while I was at work and said she'd gotten tickets.  Damn near shat myself.

She picked "best available" on Ticketmaster.  We had club seats right at the center stripe.  Perfect seats. Pretty sure ADubs86 was there too

Is this the stadium the Bills played in while in Toronto? Full of 'meh'... sorry.

Ah, a Chicharito siting in the first minutes. That's wierd.

AC Milan looks like they'll be a disaster this season. Completely inept throughout their preseason.

Nice to see the US World Cup ref in charge of this one.

I'm no AC Milan fan, but I legitimately felt bad for them. Down year last season, and...laying turds in the preseason. I kept saying "well, no Montolivo" every time the useless corpses of Essien and Muntari lumbered up and down either fouling everyone or rightfully farking up, but, I don't think Montolivo himself can make that much of a difference.

Crap, Valencia off early. I hope its nothing serious because he's looked really good in Van Gaal's system -- or at least, much better than in Moyes' "get the byline, cross it and hope" system.

Conversely, Zaha has taken the opportunity of this tour to show us why he couldn't get a game at Utd. He has no idea when to release the ball.

Game should have been in Columbus.  Could have put grass down at the horseshoe and they probably would have gotten 60k

looks better in person. very reminiscent of the 06/07 strip. all of this year's shirts are not bad. i actually really like the 3rd shirt.

There's a lot of places they should've had this final. Doing it in Miami is just a bad call.

last year's was the most abysmal piece of shiat i've ever seen. it's the first lfc shirt i actually seriously contemplated not buying. the only reason i wound up getting one is a) they offered free lettering and pl patches, and b) i have every single other shirt since 97/98, and i didn't want a hole in my collection.
