Bad press is better than no press at all. Stop putting him in headlines and he'll go away. Though he's been relegated to contactmusic so maybe we're headed in the right direction.

Why bother punching him in the face? I would bet that within five years his time will be over and no one will really care about him. I'd be surprised if he was still putting out successful selling albums by then. He's his own worst enemy.

Pretty much this.

While he inexplicably still has millions of fans, that too shall pass. He will not have the discipline to adjust his lifestyle, so he'll plunder through his wealth fairly quickly. He'll be a penniless hasbeen with no friends left in the industry.

Yeah, on his way to cockpunch Justin Bieber.

Not wanting to punch him would be better at this point. Not wanting to acknowledge his existence in any way would probably drive him to punch himself.

No Bieber at all

Wolf892: I don't get Justin's whole manufactured persona. His target market is tween to early teen girls who like him because he's supposed to be a "safe" boy for them to go crazy for. He's non threatening in a sexual way and he's soft. However, he seems to really hate this persona and goes out of his way to prove to himself that what he is, is the next Eminem, or thug for life rapper.
So, the question I have is, does Justin hate himself and is trying to distance himself from his manufactured persona, or is his handlers working hard to create this new thug persona for when his teen girls grow up and abandon him and he can move into the rap business?
Or, is he just straight up a douche?

A little from column A and a little from column B. A classic case of "too much too soon" combined with not having enough discipline from his parents to keep him humble and well-grounded. And add to that knowing that his fan base is growing up, so he's shedding his "goody two shoes" act to play the bad boy. But instead of having it just be an act, he allowed himself to become a genuine asshole.

He could be the next Canadian astronaut. But we'll let him ride on the outside of the rocket. Tell him it will be hardcore and give him more street cred. He'll do it.

One of the aspects everyone forgets is that parents can control the media their kids are getting into.  The early manufactured stuff that was "safe" is probably still being introduced to young kids just getting to be that target market age.

One of the biggest factors driving music sales is the entire "Kidz Bop" phenomena where sanitized music aimed at the 'tween age is marketed heavily.  Parents like it because it's an easy pick; they know there will be no bad words or overly suggestive themes.  Kids like it because they haven't heard the actual original most times to compare it to so it's kind of their own.

This is the Justin Beiber stronghold where kids get indoctrinated and then move on to his first few "safe" albums.  It coincides with the point in time where they might get their first phone or be allowed to get a Twitter account.

And that's probably a large source of his frustration.  After so many years of it he's tired of it and he's not old enough nor has he ever had to know what going without is like to comprehend how great he has it.  His handlers are there to wind him down while the gravy train marches on.  But they can't be on top of him 24/7 and can't stop him when he shoots his mouth off.

Same thing happened with the Beatles, Beach Boys, or any other safe pop act that made girls tingly in their ginies. You either start experimenting with drugs and make better music for an adult listener or end up wherever Color Me Badd ended up. Alternatively you can go the David Cassidy route and play state fairs where seventy-year-olds throw their panties on stage.

Or how he looks into the camera and proudly says "I was detrimental to my own career."  And his counsel says "No, no, he said he was 'instrumental' to his own career."  They guy's a trainwreck.  There should be a comedy about him someday.

The man is pulling a Mazer Rackham up there on a UFO.  He's coming back in our time of need.  Jesus is going to need theme music after all.

Bieber is unbearable, but his time is about up. All the pre-teen girls that made him rich are growing up, and most of them will stop buying his stuff.

He really is a moron, though. He might be the dumbest pop-star ever.
