The actress has disclosed that she refused to promote the disaster movie when it first aired on Syfy in 2013 because she feared that Sharknado would end her career.

Wow.  She really doesn't get...well, anything.

She should be more embarrassed about the awful plastic surgery she underwent.

Nope... watched the second one, loved that shiat.  It was as awesomely bad as I had hoped/expected.

My roommate watched and loved it. Meh, not so much. Lost interest fast and watched the Hall of Fame game. I can't wait til football is back in regular season.

Need I remind you of Fark's love affair with Snakes on a Plane?

IDK, Snakes on a Plane was on a different level.  That was a movie that was actually trying to be serious and pretty much got saved by SLJs promotion of it being so over the top awful.  It was basically a big joke at the directors expense.  Sharknado(s) never really even tried.  When everyone's in on it it's not the same thing.

I think the headline is more accurate if you change reverse where Tara Reid and Sharknado are in the sentence.

She should just drink more to forget all the embarrassments of her life. Oh wait, she already did that too.

I can buy that.  It sure would be interesting to ask the directors and producers of each as to what their real intentions were.

I watched about 10 minutes of Sharknado 2 before I lost interest, which was the same reaction I had to the first one. I love "bad" movies, but if you set out to deliberately make a "bad" movie, the end product is never as entertaining as you'd think it would be. The reason movies like Troll 2 and The Room are so enjoyable despite being absolute pieces of garbage is the fact that they were made completely in earnest. Tommy Wiseau poured his heart out into his movie, and that quality still shines through despite every technical and creative aspect of the film being a failure. Sharknado has none of that heart and is merely a cynical marketing stunt by SyFy to cash in on their reputation for making terrible movies.

Sitting around goofing on stuff online is most certainly a good thing.  Sharknado was for exactly that.

Yes, doing the movie for syfy was in danger of killer her career.  Never mind the decades long drunken stupor, boobs falling out, horrible plastic surgery disaster.  It was the movie coming out on syfy that you had to worry about.

I'm just gonna say it, Tara Reid made Sharknado 2: The Second One.  I mean she made the movie more fun than the first one.  I'm glad she came back.

Did they suck out some of her brain during one of those bad plastic surgeries she had?  While she was never going to be considered a great actress, she was at least acceptable in the role of bubble headed blonde.  These days though she is turrible, just turrible.

the whole movie was turrible, jus' turrible..... I loved it ! Perfect MST3K fodder.

That's being charitable. More like "keep her on the Hollywood horizon/remind people she hasn't OD'ed yet; never heard of anyone ever making a career comeback from one of these though.

We watched Sharknado 2 last night. All I can say is that film is the rightful heir to the throne of William Castle, and protectorate of American International. With a film so self parodying, and "stars" that join in with the glee of ridiculousness, how can you not enjoy it. It's pop rocks for the brain. Watching Matt Lauer and Al Rocker report on the shark deluge (with hilarious weather charts) was comedy GOLD! Take it for what it is, mindless fun with bad CGI and even worse acting. I don't think the boys at MST3K could have made a more entertaining film, Want to watch something that will stimulate your mind? go watch "The Seventh Seal". want something to turn your brain off and make it melt into hysteria? watch "Sharknado 2"! Roger Corman would smile down from heaven (if he were dead....)....
