So, the Vikings are the most liked and the most hated in the Dakotas.  Actually does make sense.

Just proves that there are more reddit twats in Northern California than Southern California.  I couldn't give two shiats about the Seachickens, but fark the Raiders.

/San Diego county.

Pretty much. Although I would have figured that Massachusetts and Colorado would have hated each other's teams more than the divisional Jets and Raiders since their rivalry has been pretty intense over the last couple of years.  And the whole Brady-Manning thing.

Steelers for Arizona is a bit weird (and mentioned in TFA).

Noooooooooooooooooo.  When Mike Shanahan was fired from the Raiders, he took his hate to Denver and infected the entire city with it.  Marty Schottenheimer did the same thing in Kansas City, but he didn't have the prior connection with the Raiders that Shanahan did.  His nemesis was Elway, and some combination of Indy, Denver or Peyton Manning is always farking the Chiefs in the playoffs, which is why Missouri is labelled with the Broncos.  Back in the 60's it would have been Oakland.

You can always tell older Cowboys fans from newer ones. The older ones hate the Redskins with the burning passion of a thousand suns. The newer ones shift that enmity to Philadelphia.

All of fark is just a rehash of reddit from 1-3 days prior...

And this means nothing, listing them would mean more since it shows how teams are really hated.

The Raiders were already haaaaaated in Denver in the 70s through 2000, Shanahan/Davis notwithstanding. That was just icing. I'm just saying the Broncos currently have the cross-hairs pointed toward the northeast and vice-versa since it'll probably come down to those two again in the AFC this year.  That is unless Indy can snag the home field/conference crown with their schedule being comparatively easy, which isn't out of the question.

I'd like to see the map of favorites, I'm betting the Bills are at the top of the list in developing countries.

Gotta disagree, Shanahan didn't have anything to do with Raider Hate in Denver, it all goes back to the AFL days. I got it from my Granddad, Dad, and Uncles.

Aren't the Raiders the most popular team in Southern California?  I'm kind of surprised that the Raiders and Chargers mutual hatred of the Broncos would have been enough to outvote the Seahawk hatred.

because they lost to them in the super bowl, i'm sure 5 years ago the most hated team in the pacific northwest would also have been the steelers

as for Denver vs. New England, that's an adopted rivalry because of Manning... there'd have to be a few more afc championship games for it become a heated rivalry (ie: Pats vs. Steelers, Pats vs. Baltimore, or in the NFC 49ers vs. Cowboys)

I don't hate the Steelers for what happened in that Super Bowl, I hate Antrel Rolle for blocking Fitzgerald as he was about to catch Harrison on that 100 yd INT, who had to then catch up again, but by that time Harrison was already in the end zone.

i kind of fully expect somebody other than the two favorites to win the AFC, the Pats and Broncos may be loaded by they're by no means guaranteed to win any playoff game, and they still have weaknesses covered up by all these news-grabbing acquisitions

Fair points, but all rivalries are adopted based on how good two teams are. Given that NE and Den are anointed top-dogs in their conference, with the two best QBs whose supporters provide popcorn-eating entertainment in these Fark threads, it's not a stretch to consider each other the most hated at the moment. To your point, maybe one more AFC title matchup would push it over the top.  And for however long Brady and Manning continue to play.

I would bet saints are number 2-3 on most lists because of their obnoxious bandwagon fans who just started following them when they started winning. Kind of like Seattle fans, who broke the saints fans for fans turning douchey the quickest, saints fans broke the patriots record for turning douchey by over a year. Amazing how oblivious they are about it.

Nah.  Nobody in most of the country even remembers the Saints are a team, other than people who care about Brees/Graham for their fantasy teams, or the collective "oh, Katrina was bad, it's nice they won a Super Bowl."

If I am not mistaken (and I always am), this map seems to indicate that Philadelphia appears to hate Pittsburgh more than America's Team (although it's hard to tell where Balto leaves off and Philly kicks in).  On that basis alone I can assure everyone here that this is complete horseshiat, and that in fact Pittsburgh is widely loved in the Philadelphia area, and virtually anyone that appreciates both the Eagles AND the Steelers hates the Cowboys beyond all reason and sanity.

2014-08-03 06:20:57 PM
Whadda know? No one hates the Buccaneers! Oh ..... whats that? I see, we are talking about PRO teams not division 4 football.

Sorry

If your city is best known for voodoo, drunken parades and titties for beads, pick a more accurate name than Saints.

The Patriots have a surprisingly small amount of hatred comprising of New York (Jets/Giants fans for obious reasons) and Florida (presumably Dolphins fans and not Bucs fans). Oh, and Indiana too for some reason.

The Colts/Patriots rivalry was probably the biggest non-division rivalry in the NFL throughout the whole of the 2000s.  "For some reason" my ass.  Do you even watch football?

I can accept that the Patriots are the most hated team on two continents, by why in the world are the Cowboys NOT the most hated team in North America?  Have they become that irrelevant?

Bunch of young punks must have answered from NorCal.

The correct answer is always "the Cowboys". The Seahawks only recently even graduated into "rivalry", they've got to actually show some longevity before they can really be considered hated.

2014-08-03 07:07:01 PM
yup Minnesotans , the majority of them nurture a powerful hate for the Packers  and i bet the poll for Wisconsin was done in either Milwaukee or  Madison as i know there is significant Vikings hate in Western Wisconsin.

It was funny watching the Saints fans I know post all about winning superbowlS.
Then went to being Texans fans all of last summer.
Then two of them unfriended me by week 8, along with a Cleveland fan. (He wouldn't shut up in week 3.)

I would figure Cleveland would be on that map somewhere, but then I remember they're a more of mockable clown show.
