Headline fail. The guy was arrested after the incident on an unrelated charge. And he was charged BEFORE the incident.

Damn pigs. How dare they arrest that guy for carrying a gun. Haven't they heard of the 2nd amendment?

Because if you commit a crime while another crime is happening your crime then becomes legal.

Look, Rodney King committed a crime several years after the LAPD cleaned his clock, thereby proving that King was going to do something at some point in the future which fully justified the stuffing getting knocked out of him.  Now, what were you saying?

Yes, this is the new method.
Collect as much data as possible about someone, and then charge them as needed.

Just think about yourself. See if there is anything you do that could get you arrested. Then, think of some way you leaked that information from your cell phone or internet search. Then, the police will call on another of its enforcement branches to arrest you.

I hate that I have to agree with Al Sharpton on something.

How convenient that they happened to be staking that place out, happened to detain him, happened to find a gun and felt they should report it all to the press.

Patrick Lynch, president of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, described the encounter between Garner and police "a tragedy" but said Garner's arrest "only underscores the dangers that brought police officers to respond to a chronic crime condition in that community."

That being, others than themselves may be armed.

FTA: "Authorities say the weapon recovered is a 25 caliber Norton semi-automatic that was reported stolen in Michigan in 2007."

We need more sensible gun control laws. We need to shut down this stolen gun loophole. If people didn't have any guns, then there wouldn't be any guns to steal.

Makes you wonder, and then there is... "Police said Orta was in a hospital being treated for a medical condition Sunday. No details about his condition were available. It was not clear if Orta had a lawyer. "
I'm rather curious what sudden medical condition affected a 22 year old immediately after his arrest for "felony possession", and why that information is unavailable.

Doesn't pass the sniff test...

Good think that between thug cops, bought and paid for vindictive judges and nudge and wink DAs, they can pretty much say what they want and you can eat sh*t if you don't like it.  Cause guns and money.

/Indeed...he's never been one to avoid taking advantage of a tragedy to climb up on his soap box against the police and white people. Funny, he didn't mention that the place in question was a shiat hole full of prostitutes, drug dealers, and apparently people just walking around with stolen guns. Nope, just easier to point the finger at the police and whites.

Set of facts here:
1-The arrested on Sat, Aug 2nd.  It was with another person that had weed on them.  Per the article this is a place where people have been known to buy drugs.  The filming took place on 7/17 if I have the date correct.
2-Ramsey Orta has had previous incidents with the law involving weapons charges.  There appear to be other pending charges on Ortega that may or may not be related to the 8-2 incident above and do not change the contents of the video.
3-He was also taken to the hospital after an 'undisclosed medical incident that occurred sometime following his arrest', and is not longer in the hospital.  Needed an inhaler, slipped on the steps, I don't really know here.
4-Patrick J Lynch who appears to be a point man for the police union side of the investigation on the 7-17 choke hold incident, made a statement about the naure of Ramsey Orta's charges and how makes it difficult for police to do their job.
https://www.facebook.com/nycpba

Here is the original article.

Revenge from the police with a drop piece for releasing the video, or just karma for a guy that took things too far.  I can't say I know.

And I will repeat, the video could have been taken by Hitler or Mother Teresa, it does not matter.

\But if I ever get toxic video of police doing stupid shiat, I will either make sure it is not tied to me by a proxy, or get out of dodge.
