A Cheney calling someone else a disgrace? Wow, really?

STFU, Liz.

Yes she is. Just like her daddy.

Tell you what, Liz. If you truly believe the things done to our prisoners were not torture, I would agree with you if you could provide first-hand evidence that they aren't torture. Say, by undergoing those same activities. Have a professional waterboard you for a few minutes, and if you tell me afterward that it really wasn't torturous, I will believe you completely.

2014-08-03 12:52:18 PM
And he is expending more time, more energy, more passion, more aggressive activity in targeting and going after patriots, heroes, CIA officers and others who kept is safe after 9/11,"

a Cheney would know.

"slandering"

OK, so sue him. Open up all the records and show us where the previous administration didn't torture anybody.

2014-08-03 01:21:38 PM
Dick Cheney I can at least kind of understand based on his history, but why in the hell is Liz Cheney such an apologist?

2014-08-03 01:22:14 PM
Hmm, so you're telling me that sociopathy is genetic?

"He's lying about what they did, he's slandering them,

Liz Cheney still won't admit her dad is a psychopathic torture monkey?

Is she actually stupid enough to believe that or is she just pissed that Obama bringing up her war criminal dad's past now might negatively impact any future runs for office she makes after her last failed attempt?

Meh, either way she can go fark herself.

Anyone else getting a giggle out of the fact that she made these batshiat remarks on Sean "I'll let ya waterboard me to prove that it isn't torture" Hannity's show?

Is that actual irony is it just like rain on your wedding day?

The problem with this is that they know it was torture.  It's not a matter if it was or wasn't.  They believe they had a right to torture them.  The torture was to make them feel better not to extract any information really.

5 star chef of tv dinners: They believe they had a right to torture them.

Pretty much.

But you can't call it that.  Calling it torture is slanderous.  You should call it "enhanced interrogation."

Don't terrorists deserve "enhanced interrogation?"  Torture, of course not, but surely these bastards deserve a little enhanced interrogation.

See, it is the word is what is bad, not the action.

Goes along with their view that people would totally agree with their farktarded beliefs, if only they were better at crafting their message.

That doesn't follow from what he said, though. It follows from Republican policy.

"...we tortured some folks"

Folks?  We rounded up some "folks" and tortured them?  No "folks" were tortured.  Terrorists like KSM (mastermind of 9/11) were subjected to enhanced interrogation.  Was it unpleasant?  Who cares. They deserved it.

Of course she is. And hopefully, she will never be in a position of power like the psychopath war criminal who spawned her.

Take Karen McGowan's assertion that all we have done is "Dripped some water on their face." I think that sort of thing was posted pretty regularly on Fark seven or eight years ago. Now, not so much.

Her father ran things like the disturbed kid who tortures squirrels and neighborhood dogs in his closet and doesn't tell anyone about it. This is what she wants to keep happening.

Meanwhile we all know things get better (really, less bad) as soon as you admit you have a problem you've been hiding at home...

Before the willfully ignorant get too passionate, I love the assertion that torture "kept us safe".  It got us bad intel, factually incorrect and erroneous intel, it ruined the sources guaranteeing that they would never give us anythi g worth while, and it polarized the enemy even more intensely.  The '24', ticking bomb scenario is bullshiat (yes, I lost friends to IEDs, and friends were maimed by IEDs, so I feel fuqing fine saying this).  This was pressure from the top, from fuqing ignorant amateurs to fuqing amateurs.

The torture was based on techniques intended to get false confessions and to brainwash POWs, and were developed by the Chinese, Koreans, and Russians.  Army interrogators were horrified by what had been done.  The CIA and their "independent contractors" need to be held accountable for their actions.

LOL. That's funny. Obama admitting that the previous administration tortured people is somehow creating anti-US sentiment?

Hey. Ya know what is actually really good at creating lots of anti-US sentiment?

That's right. Torturing people.

Seriously, it pisses people off.

Torture is never justifiable and it rarely gets the results you want.

Dershowitz's stupid 24-esque "Ticking time bomb" scenario is irrational nonsense.

Anyone still defending the indefensible here completely and utterly fails at morality, rationality and humanity.

...wow.  I think they've confused patriotic with vitriolic. If it didn't predate Facebook by 30 years, I'd guess that this is where Ridley Scott got the idea for aliens with concentrated acid for blood.

Deleted scene from Prometheus: Engineers watching smash-cut of Fox News and The Blaze clips. After a few minutes of this, they look at each other and nod solemnly. One of them picks up a clipboard. It says "Time to destroy humanity? [ ] Yes [ ] No".  A single tear rolls down the Engineer's cheek as he checks "Yes."

[H]e is expending more time, more energy, more passion, more aggressive activity in targeting and going after patriots, heroes, CIA officers and others who kept is safe after 9/11," Cheney said on Fox News' Hannity.

"He's lying about what they did, he's slandering them, he went to Cairo and did it in 2009. Today he did it from the podium of the Oval Office. It's a disgrace. It's despicable," Cheney continue
d.

When I say things like "conservatives are evil," it's because of remarks like this. The entire American conservative movement is rotted through, top to bottom, inside and out, with sociopaths.

They don't care about anti-American sentiment.  Who cares what other countries think?  Fark 'em.

The problem is making America look weak, by admitting fault.

What's really farked up is Brian Kolfage is an actual hero. He was retired a Senior Airman for his actions in Iraq (A triple amputee in fact). Then he turned into another right wing nutbag. He's using the goodwill earned for real heroism to make money off rubes and rile up the base who's fled to Facebook, because they can set up echo chambers there.

Did we torture people?

Do you feel it was wrong, if we did?

That's odd, I can look at them in a sympathetic light, understand their motives, comprehend their justifications; condemn everything they do and call them criminals and murderers; and STILL not think they deserve to be tortured.

It must be one of the advantages of a fully-formed prefrontal cortex.
