Perhaps if the NSA had actually spent more time spying on foreign agents and less time spying on their own citizens, Snowden (or anyone else) wouldn't have felt compelled to let the world know what they were up to.  Of course, the government will continue to blame Snowden rather than their own ridiculous spying on their own citizens which created an environment where a whistleblower felt compelled to tell the world what the NSA was up to.

Don't worry, all of their malware will keep the terrorists in check.

Terrorists need a phone that does what they want ... not what the ghost of Steve wants.

It's like posting a story announcing that terrorists choose to use live ammunition instead of blanks. Pretty obvious they are going to use the option that actually does what they want.

Android: also #1 with everyone else.

We should all have such great products..... products that the terrorists would apparently use.

I can buy an iPhone for $600+ or get a cheap android phone from a Chinese manufacturer for $70, probably also a BOGO deal.
Chances are if I am a criminal or terrorist, I will use the phone a few times and ditch it.
Economically it makes no sense to buy a premium device, you buy whatever cheap burner you have access to-which means android.

Wasn't there a Casii digital watch that was the terrorist timepiece?

The good thing about this is they will probably roll their own encryption system. Given how many exploits have been found in well-researched and well-built encryption systems, a DIY system is likely to have a significant number of exploits.

Well, it says right there in the user agreement for Apple products, you can't use them to make nuclear bombs or wage chemical warfare.

It could say you are required to use them to make nuclear bombs and no one would ever know know.

I'm a bit drunk and can't read. So is this saying that Android is more secure from the government? And that anyone defending Apple right now, in this particular case is a complete tool?

I have bought Nokia cell phones for the last, I don't know, fifteen years or something. An occassional Samsung, but mostly Nokia. They can survive a full cycle inside a washing machine. But now that M$ has fired all the original Nokia guys, I am looking for a new brand. Can't afford anything in the range of iPhone or Galaxy. How about the new Motos, are they any good?
