Yeah, I know - I don't like slate, but they still insist I do

I gotta get out more.  It rained like hell here the other day.  I just stayed indoors safe and dry instead of taking awesome pictures

The few times I've storm-chased, seeing a mesocyclone is enough for me to call it a success.  Tornado is just icing.  This one was near Helena, MT in June '12.  Note the wave pattern in the mesocyclone striations.  I figure it was some sort of Kelvin-Helmholz effect from storm inflow riding over the nearby mountains...?
