Ok, I can go with the chainsaw one too.  My thought from that one was more along the lines of

Or a couple of years earlier with the Fonz & trying to have a discussion with the cops...

But this new one looks like it could be pretty good too...

I think of Pacific Heights and Multiplicity - two roles so far apart from one another  but he was great in both.

No, no, no... Beetlejuice was a comic book superhero?

Errk: I never think of Batman when I think of him.

I do; that was still a terrific flick.  But Beetlejuice was my personal favorite.

He was great in The Other Guys, which is a criminally underappreciated movie.

Perfect trailer for what will probably be a perfect movie. (It might have shown too much, though).

Mr Mom with that race done to the music of Chariots of Fire.

Beetlejuice. The ghostest with the mostest.

Johnny Dangerously. I know how the grapevine works.

He has some great movies in the 80s. I even liked him in Much Ado About Nothing.

He played James Jesus Angleton in The Company.

He is an amazing actor. He doens't get enough credit for his work.

Every time I rewatch it, I end up with the same thought: "Damn, I could have sworn that Beetlejuice was in more of this movie."  His performance was so memorable, I forget that he was a relatively minor character in the film.

He was hilarious in Nightshift and Johnny Dangerously is under-rated.  The watered-down gangster language is still something I reference, like farging eye-sore, cork-soakers, icehole, somanobatch, bastage, etc.  (yes, I realize those weren't Keaton lines) Mr. Mom and the 220-221 quote is another favorite of mine.  I think Batman derailed his career.

At the time, not so much. It wasn't until sequel upon sequel upon sequel later that Batman was worn out and stupid and lame and my god this and my god Prince and *snoooooore*. At the time, I thought it was just him trying a new direction as he'd done with other projects.

In the late 1980s, we were flat broke and were given a VCR for Christmas by an aunt or uncle one year. We then got a few movies. One of them was 'The Squeeze' with Keaton. I don't know why, but I really liked that movie and him as an actor. Batman was just another direction for him. A superhero? Him? Eh, why not?

First I wanted this to be Harvey Birdman, that was a no.

Then I saw the trailer and went "Hey, Didn't Jean Claude Van Damme do this already?"

THEN I thought: Ralph Macchio did it better.

MEH. That bit with his daughter yelling at him makes the whole thing seem fake and cheesy. Since it seems to be real, that scene looked *AWFUL* .

Will not pay to see.

I like to think about how the 88 magnum joke from Johnny Dangerously would cause the blogosphere and media hack world to lose its collective shiat if it was told nowadays. The funny thing is that it may shoot through schools, it couldn't shoot through a cigarette box.

/crime does pay!
//it had a Weird Al song!
///surprised no heights mention yet (was a good creepy flick)

In addition to Batman/Beetlejuice/Pacific Heights etc, I really liked him in "My Life." Not too widely seen cancer drama.

I have missed you, Michael Keaton.

That scene where has was losing his shiat and Zach walked in and he tried to compose himself made me laugh. He still has the comedic chops.
