I didn't check the outfield during a high school game once; while in right field I went to shag a fly ball and found a water sprinkler that wasn't fully tucked in the ground; aggravated my ankle and missed my entire senior year because of it.
Wish I could of gone back and punched that ground keeper in the face; it pretty much killed any chance I had for college ball; let alone the scouts to watch me pitch my senior year.

/don't ask why there were water sprinklers in the outfield; I have no clue either I thought they watered them by hose?
