A nutso scheme is still better than anything Boehner has come up with.

2014-07-31 05:14:40 PM
...repeating that the House won't consider the Senate-passed immigration legislation no matter the context.

So do absolutely nothing in Congress in terms of comprehensive immigration reform much less address the current issue at the border then biatch when the Senate tries to do something and complain that it's the Democrats who are wasting time here?

Boehner needs a swift kick to the nutso, methinks.

Boehner's comments re immigration might carry more weight if he had anything in hand besides his dick.

Reid's spokesman Adam Jentleson called Boehner's comment "[s]trange" and noted that he was once a proponent of overhauling immigration.

Boehner couldn't get his own f*cking immigration bill passed; better throw some shiat at the wall and see if it sticks

They can't even fund the f*cking roads because OBAMA!!!!oneoneelvelenty1.  What a joke.  This is embarrassing.  Other countries look at us and say "Damn,  y'all used to be cool, y'all used to own the free world and now you can't even pave a 2 mile stretch of I-40 through f*cking Arkansas"

F*cking pathetic

You really could have picked any other stretch of freeway, but that particular one doesn't have anything to do with the current crisis, it's been under construction for as long as I can remember.  Someone's brother somewhere has been making bank on that for a loooong time.

Time to redlight this since the bill in question got yanked since Boehner couldn't get the votes to pass the Republican's own bill?

A: The children in question are refugees, not illegal aliens.
B. The roads are a separate example of Republicans being unable/unwilling to do anything.

Those that are processed are given a hearing and most likely deported or found a good home. Since they are not legal and do not have a SS number or are most likely not 18, they cannot vote. But republicans have no clue about reality or how anything works.

I know you're being sarcastic but you're right.

The Republicans should get elbow deep into making sure these kids are deposited in irretrievably lost blue states and no where else.

That would at least stave off the invevitable for another census or two.

2014-07-31 11:48:11 PM
If this is a bill to deal with the current situation it should be limited to that. Republicans shouldn't try to attach anything about the DACA or repealing Obamacare and Democrats shouldn't try to tie it to the senate immigration bill.

b2theory: Can the President sue the house?

That's exactly what could (and should) happen if Boehner's suit is allowed to go forward... Sue the House Republican Caucus over every BS little thing that can be imagined.

If Congress has standing to file suit against the POTUS, the reverse is certainly true. And if the suit doesn't get tossed, we could spend the next century witnessing a whole new type of politics - obstruction by litigation.

Iraq? Try to focus on the topic.

If they pass a bill that has more $ for immigration judges and makes adjustments to the law that expedites deportations when appropriate that is what is necessary to deal with the current situation.

As far as I am concerned, they pissed any chance of compromise right down their leg when they walked out of a meeting and said they were bringing suit against Obama.

If I were him (Obama), I would be right blunt with them: OK, you smart motherfarkers, you don't like the way I do things, and you don't like the way the other Dems do things, YOU fix it all on your own. And oh, don't try no hinky shiat, I still have that veto pen.

Well then that is not fixing it on their own is it if you are saying I'm going to veto anything I don't like. You are constraining them to requirements they have no control over.

Try focusing on whom you are speaking of. You are suggesting a deviant from a historical pattern.

I'm not disagreeing with your point in the least. I'm saying your point is irrelevant in today's political spectrum.

We will see what the end up doing at the end of the session. If they don't pass anything (that is not attached with extraneous amendments)  then you have a point.
