In other news, Michael Hunnicutt suspended for the season for leaking the Oklahoma Sooners playbook.

No fake/trick plays? Boring.

While I laughed, there's more than one play in his playbook. That's not even a play. That's a note. Pretty funny though.

The QB's IPad says "Throw a touchdown. Don't throw an interception."

As the entire linebacker corps shrugs, nods, and watches the ball-carrier zip right by.

He should send that play to Bama's kicker.

He does to a very good job of following the play book.  He probably will be kicking on Sundays after this season.  I am pretty sure he is a senior.

They should have given one to this teammate Joe Mixon, with the instruction:  Don't punch girls in the face!

Sounds like the school figured out a way within the rules to pay the players a bit. Even if they have to return the ipad at the end of their playing career, by then it will be several generations old and I wouldn't be surprised if they had the newest model swapped out each time one comes out. For big programs like Oklahoma, the football income is incredible. Since they're not allowed to pay players (above the table), things like an ipad with a few pages of information loaded on it is a smart way to give the athletes a benefit without calling it that. Wonder how many other programs already do this and for those who haven't thought of it, how many will jump on the bandwagon now.

Pretty sure he typed that in himself.  the Last Saved time of 7:22 and current time of 7:23 is kind of a giveaway.

If the coach had loaded that and then given it to him, the date of the note wouldn't be one minute before the picture was snapped.

also based on the screen grab and the date on the ipad, it appears the tweet was made at 7:23 CST, or 8:23 EST and bleacher report is located in the eastern time zone.  if anyone cares or too stupid to figure that out themselves.

It's also a good way for the university to show off their environmental responsibility.  I'd be willing to wager the only thing that would save more trees would be to have a siren in every computer lab that goes off and releases rabid wombats every time an undergrad prints a Powerpoint one slide per page.

In June, Indiana University unveiled its Student-Athlete Bill of Rights which includes, among other things, a tablet "such as an iPad."  In the grand scheme of what Indiana offered, the iPad isn't that big of a deal.  The four year guaranteed scholarship (for head count sports) and the lifetime degree guarantee are much more valuable.

Football IT is a big deal. Players have their very own game film uploaded by the day after a game. They each get a customized Strength and Conditioning plan, probably use it for all their homework, etc.
