Not content to give you cancer with their evil wireless signals, now they want to BURN YOU ALIVE!

Seattle's Puget Sound Energy has had about 1.5 million smart meters in place for about a decade now. I've never heard of a single meter catching fire. Either they went with shiat meters, someone is installing them wrong, or they're being tampered with.

I'll go with shiatty meters.  I'm from Saskatchewan and we aren't typically a pants-on-head retarded screw with things to spite the man type of people.

/Although we do wear watermelons as hats during football games.  But that's cool

Not too mention the power bills "magically" skyrocketing for everyone that got one....

And to top it all off, after your house burns down you get a bill for the big surge of electricity that started the fire.

and the opposition is quick to blame the premier for it. I'm sure the premier said "these are the meters we want!"

/no wonder they are the opposition

They do wireless stuff? I just figured they were wired into something, or somehow put a signal on the power line itself back to your nearest substation.

I should preface that by pointing out I don't know much about anything.

You're saying it's good we switched over to them, since the old ones were obviously inaccurate?

Good to know

Having been working for a very large utility company for over a decade, I'm getting a kick at the amount of stupid, here....

It's one of the first two... There is nothing inherently flammable about the smart meters that doesn't already exist on "dumb" meters. It's been one of the OMG! Smart Meters will kill you! rallying cries that I've been hearing since I first noticed this phenomenon 2 or 3 years ago. I'm leaning towards shiatty installation.

The anti-smart meter crowd is almost as entertaining as the Moon Truthers. There is more of an electromagnetic field circulating through the wires in their house than those goddamn little WiFi cards will produce. These people are stupid shiatheads, but they're entertaining stupid shiatheads.

I joined bansmartmeters.com just for the sake of educating these mouth breathing morons(Never misrepresented my position, so I wouldn't call it trolling), and they suddenly had the site down for "redesign" for over a year, I always wondered if I had helped contribute to that...

I like how the government is supposed to pay for this and not "the public". Where do you think the government gets its money?

It's all a liberal plot to make you dependent on obummercare and the fire department.  Study it out.

Well in this case since the power company is a government owned corporation it makes sense.  You'd be after your power company to remove the meter wouldn't you?

I'm off the grid, so I'm really getting a kick out of these replies.
