In that situation losing just a finger would be extremely lucky, and she just lost the tip. It didn't even get past her fingernail. Hell, she could have sustained that injury in any number of non-lion related ways. How is she going to pin it on the lion?

Renae Ferguson claims a worker let her into the lion's cage where she was bitten

Sounds legit.

Did the worker put her finger in the cage?
Dumbass indeed.

Too bad she didn't try to pet the lion with her head,  the world would've been better off.

A Michigan woman says she'll sue a zoo for not taking enough steps to protect her after she had a bit of her right, middle finger bit off while trying to pet a lion.

Why does she need other people to protect her?

One step: Don't present body parts to a farking lion you stupid coont.

'The lady went into the security area and was told by the guide to get back and the lady stated she wanted to touch the lion and continued, against the guide's warning, to put her finger inside the fence and the lion nipped the end of her finger,' the owners wrote in an email.

Normally there's 3 sides to every story but I'm feeling confident the above is the actual truth of what transpired.
I hope this stupid biatch gets hit by a bus if something happens to the cat because of this.

Throw out that lawsuit.
Laugh her out of court.
Toss her ass back in with the lion.

I hope she's a Christian.

Short of the lion catching a disease from the woman's finger (which s, he should be fine.  Zoo animals don't live under the same rules as pets.  If a lion or a bear or what have you mauls a person who's in their enclosure, that's just them being wild animals. They don't get put down for it.

This

The way I see it, the real problem is the lion's work ethic.

If he'd killed her like he was supposed to, we wouldn't still be dealing with her dumb ass.

Okay, I may be in the minority here, but I do think this lady deserves some kind of monetary compensation for her suffering. Several thousand dollars, perhaps. Redeemable only at her local hospital, in the form of having her tubes tied.

The zoo worker should have locked the cage behind her and let the kitty cat finish its meal.

I feel bad for the lion, who knows how much meth he got infected with after biting the woman's finger.

You deserve to lose a finger if you support a zoo that treats lions like this.

she'll win money or something.

an incident happened at the Pittsburgh, PA zoo, where a mother lifted her kid over the railing of an african prairie dog exhibit, he squirmed, she dropped him, he fell into cage, and was mauled.  mother and family sued the zoo for the death and won. cityfolk were outraged at decision, saying she was at fault the whole time.

i compare the two because of zoo.

Mrs. Ferguson:  OK Renae - what sound does a cow make?
Renae: MOO!
Mrs. Ferguson:  Very good!  What sound does a bird make?

Renae: Cha-ching!  Cha-ching!

How can a lion bite only a quarter inch off a finger?  Pretty sure their teeth are not able to do that.  If it had bitten, it would have taken her hand and some arm with it.  She probably closed her finger in the gate.

There's one thing they can do to protect her from the big bad animals.  They can ban her from ever returning, take her picture, and then call every place they can think of where a sub-moron could potentially injure themselves and fax or E-Mail them a picture warning them never to admit her.

Which means she'll pretty much be restricted to her home and the local bingo hall.  Though even there she might try and eat the bingo markers.

The judge should rule that she has emotionally traumatized the lion by taunting it with such a small piece of meat, and that she should be thrown back into the cage in her entirety in order to finish what she began.

She should have stuck her face in the cage.

Having spent a LOT of time in Tawas as a kid, as a teenager (car cruising and picking up tourist girls) and as a young adult, this woman and her daughter (who is probably in her 30s but looks like she's in her 50s) are likely barfly types. Northern Michigan eats them up as well as any West Virginia coal town. Getting blotto drunk every night because there is little to do takes its toll after a while on your brain cell count.

I've always had a problem with that word and I don't know why. I know it's supposed to be "Bar Fly", but whenever I read it my brain reads it as "BARF Lee" and I have to stop and chuckle before moving on.
