How will he get to the Dagobah system?

Hopefully he'll be able to escalate to the manager of the passport rejection department, Obi Wan Kenobi. That's his only hope.

Optimus Prime must really have a hell of a time over there.

She has altered her legal name.  Pray that she does not alter it further.

They'd give him a Taco Bell commercial, duh.

This is the first time I've considered anyone named L. Skywalker bangable.

I'd use the force on her.

There need to be a new term for these people that take fandom to places like this. I have no problem with liking a movie or tv show and maybe going to a convention and perhaps getting involved in cosplay. But when you are changing your own identity, it's time to step back and take stock of your life.

Don't worry, you'll get your chance to get off this rock.

If Luke had only cleaned those stupid droids everything would have turned out right.

The following tragedies would have been averted:

1) He'd have never fallen in love with and kissed his Sister. (Incest)
2) He'd have never fought his Father. (Patricide)
3) He'd have never lost his hand. (Dismemberment)
4) Anikin Skywalker would never have turned to the Darkside (Treason)
5) Jar-Jar Binks would never have been created. (Racial stereotyping)
6) The last three Star Wars movies would not have been made. (Hubris)

A lot of people would never have been killed or miffed. At least two whole planets would be unkilled and unmiffed with George Lucas.

There is a backlog of applications at the Passport Office and the press is getting on the Governments back.

How do you clear that backlog? You reject everything you can for the most trivial reasons. It's faster than issuing passports and gets the numbers down.

Go to the UK site about renewing a UK passport and it is pretty clear that if you change you name legally you have to reapply.  Simple rules, she is being an attention whore that is all.

We already have a term for these people.  Well actually, multiple terms,  Loser, pathetic, delusional, weirdo, are a few that spring to mind.

1) He would have been killed with his aunt and uncle by the stormtroopers. The Empire would still have destroyed Alderaan and would execute Leia, leaving no Skywalkers left to defeat the emperor. Kenobi would still be sitting on Tatooine hiding from Vader until he died of old age.

Not aware of anyone named Skywalker, before Star Wars.

If they'd just said "name change = reapply" there would not have been a story. The story is the Home Office initially saying it "will not recognise a change to a name which is subject to copyright or trademark".

They do appear to be backtracking in the last para of the article, which does agree the instructions on the website. So, wrong reason given first time by junior clerk, corrected by senior clerk when queried by press. Her 15 minutes is over.

If you read closely, it's just her signature they have an issue with.
The fact you can legally change your name to whatever the fark you like has existed for ages. Yes you need to pay, but then it means that all red tape has been negotiated & you can be re-added to the electoral role like a good little citizen (if a little weird).
She chose Skywalker as a middle name & yet wants to use it as a surname in her signature.
Is it usual to sign your name with a middle name in place of the surname. Usually people would adopt one of their middle names as a forename wouldn't they?
& in any case, most signatures are practically illegible.
Weird girl + bunch of farking jobsworths = reduced backlog in passport processing numbers

Anyway, he DID clean the droids. He was cleaning R2 when he discovered Leia's recording. What he failed to do was put R2's inhibitor chip back in place, so he couldn't run off. THAT's why he missed being killed by storm troopers and merely got his ass kicked by sand people.

A trademark is only protected for specific uses in commerce and more broadly when there is risk of confusion. McDonald's Cleaning Service, as a made-up example, does not infringe the fast food chain's marks as long as they don't try to trade on the similarity.
