It's not "global warming" or "climate change", which are just liberal hoaxes intended to destroy good Christian American small businesses like Exxon-Mobil, but rather "sea level rise" which hasn't been studied because all the liberal "scientists" have been wasting taxpayer money "studying" "global warming" but all evidence points to it having nothing to do with any human activity and it being completely unstoppable, so you'd better start planning for it.

The only solution, it says, is to build a protective ring of buoys "that has the resilience to deal with Sea Level Rise (SLR) for at least 50 years."

It's called EROSION Libtards, and GOD invented it.

If we can't even trust science to know that the Earth is only around 6,000 years old, and that God created us in His image, and that we didn't evolve from monkeys, how can we trust science with something as complicated as "climate change", especially when scientists can't even all agree that it's a real thing created by man? Even the American Meteorological Society can't decide if it's man-made, or if it's all part of God's plan. My local weatherman certainly doesn't think it's man-made.

Tide goes in, tide goes out. You can't explain that.

Remember folks. The political party that barely managed to beat the team consisting of Palin and post Bush McCain is savvy enough to invent a conspiracy consisting of most of the world's climate scientists in order to trick people into going back to living in caves or something.

Yeah, that is what Republicans believe.

It's quite simple.

Climate change is a hoax when scientists are asking for grant money, but it is a dire threat when corporations are faced with lost profits and damages and need more subsidies.

We already covered that.  It's not climate change.  It's "sea level rise".  Which in no way is caused by man made global warming.

Come on. This makes total sense. Wealthy people and organizations see a threat to their profits. They pull out all the stops to defend this. They buy politicians, they change their logo, they do all they can to convince everyone that something that threatens them isn't the case. They want that next quarterly profit with the included bonus. Yet, they are also realists. They realize that the thing that threatens them is real and must be addressed. So, by using the very tactics they've employed to fight the threat, they are looking for ways to shield themselves from it.

Very basic concept. Deny and prepare. A lot of people in power either believe them or are looking out for their bottom lines. Sadly, the common folk are gullible because said people play to their base emotions.

I suggest that the poor and middle class worry about defending the wealthy after they become wealthy themselves.

Yes, climate change is natural.  The evidence for man caused climate change is insufficient as best.  However, who the hell said that all efforts to curb carbon emissions are unfair burdens on job creators?  Some regulations that make no sense are unfair burdens.  What people who disagree on man caused climate change is that we don't need to cut throats in order to prevent an imminent disaster because there is no imminent disaster about to occur.  What many environmentalist wackos want to do is make unrealistic expectations of the current technology in preventing CO2 emissions.  The technology for what they want does not exist.  That isn't to say it shouldn't be developed, and it is being developed, but we won't have it for a few years.  So all the alarmists need to just to keep their panties from bunching up and let the engineers and scientists working on this to do their job.

Some of this is external to the US, too. Keep that in mind. If China and India instituted clean air and clean water, you'd see wonderful progress.

But India is the world's largest democracy and China is a dictatorship and both aren't really moving quickly in any direction. Which doesn't make sense as they are politically opposites. Oh and both are Capitalistic societies. Ah, that makes more sense.

Capitalistic societies that used to be socialist.  That means that in industrial development is behind in those two countries.  They aren't importing cleaner technology, they're building it from scratch.

Nadie_AZ: and China is a dictatorship and both aren't really moving quickly in any direction.

Anything China does they do quickly, because they don't have to deal with that whole pesky consent of the governed thing. And cleaner energy is a focus of the Communist party. Well really any energy, but cleaner energy is more attractive due to less inputs. Their problem is not so much moving slowly as doing it without sacrificing any GDP growth since that is the source of the totalitarian governments legitimacy
Butthe other example... yeah... India is farked.

I must be having a problem studying it out, but I can't find anything about newly forming islands based on sea levels rising. Closest I can find is this one that sprung up during an earthquake and various "seas" that are actually lakes that are drying up either due to climate conditions or just the stress growing populations are putting on it for irrigation of farmland.

Got a link to ocean levels going down and islands reaching the surface as a result?
