I thought that South Park bit was funny and all, but I don't think it's accurate at all. Not that much dong stuff in the books.

Do the people who write South Park even read a synopsis of the books or watch the show?  We've seen actual full frontal male genitalia less than....3 times?  While nearly every episode has at least one naked boob.

But really GRRM isn't obsessed with either, it's lamprey pies, honey cakes and capons drowned in butter.

Saw the GoT SDCC panel on YouTube last night. Holy hell was it awkward. Taking questions from audience members was a big mistake. If it wasn't some sperglord pissing off the entire panel by asking, in a roundabout way, about Lady Stoneheart, it was a dickhead dressed up as Jack Sparrow getting his mic cut off 'cos all he did was spam his Comic Con party. And there were way too many questions to GRRM about the show catching up to the books too quickly. Too many eyeroll moments to count.

Yeah, but this is America where a single sighting of a penis in a movie gets an auto NC-17. I mean, there are maybe 20 non-pornographic movies with full frontal male nudity, compared to the number with naked tits.

So to have 3 seen in in the same show is highly abnormal.

Yeah, I've read the books and I'm caught up on the show. Neither goes out of their way to talk about dick.

And the whole thing with Theon completely fits within the context of the storyline.

Welcome to panels.

Having not seen it, I'm going to guess:

Someone asked Martin where he gets his ideas.
Someone asked Martin his writing process.

to be fair, south park was about flacid penises.  floppy wieniers.  a lack of errections.

and to be fair of George RR  his books have WAY less sex than the TV show.

as such someone should talk to HBO about these issues.

I think College Humor should do a film about George RR going back in time and convincing Shakespear to write Titus Andronicous, and Hamlet.   Everybody Dies!

Probably not. See that show from a few seasons back where they tried to parody Inception but used a College Humor sketch as a reference because they hadn't seen the movie.

George R.R. Martin strongly prefers boobies to weenies

As do the producers, writers, and directors of GOT, based on the observed boob-to-weenie ratio in seasons 1 and 2 (which is all I've seen so far).

Why, no, I don't have a small penis.

I just like knowing I can put a round 20 miles downrange with a tight grouping of less than 5 or 6 miles tops. I can live with the muzzle rise and recoil.

less than three means two.  One was Hodor just being naked and he's mentally handicapped and the other was Theon Greyjoy tied to a post naked before being tortured.

But really, GRRM doesn't write the show, he writes the books where specific genitalia are not mentioned, if people are having sex, they're having sex.  Fact is, on the show, you never see a penis in a sex scene.

It's great to go back and watch the show from the beginning (I'm sure the same goes for the books). There is so much foreshadowing of things to come that you naturally don't catch the first time around. Small subtle things, e.g. Jaime in S1 speaking of Bran: "But even if the boy lives, he'll be a cripple. Grotesque. Give me a good clean death anyday."

It's not really foreshadowing, but showing Theon's dick in S1 actually has meaning and it's not just gratuitous nudity.

Theon had full frontal after finishing having sex with Ross in the first season.

Yeah, I re-read the books last summer. It fills in the holes rather nicely, it just makes large deviations irritating though(Small ones are understandable). I've since decided that I'm not going to read the stuff that they currently have shows about(The Leftovers, The Strain) until the series end.

They started out with a fair observation and went off the deep end because dicks are funny. I still hear "weiners floppy weiners" when the GoT theme plays.

Not much with anything, but more to drive the point home that Hodor doesn't give a crap about his nudity and that it was non-sexual and more incidental.  Just old Hodor jumping in the swimming hole.
