That's the same advantage he had in the ass-kicking contest.

It's a great story until his girlfriend decides to drop a deuce at 2am and then it's all gunfire and Nancy Grace....

tough call.

There's "guy with a prosthetic leg" and then there's "guy with a spring instead of a leg"

Considering he is jumping off that 'spring' leg this seems like quite an advantage.

There has to be some line drawn in the sand, otherwise you could certainly engineer a prosthetic that would launch you over 10 meters.

Rehm jumped 8.24 metres at the German athletics championship in Ulm, setting a new world record for long jumpers with a disability.

To put that in perspective, 8.24 m was the world record for able-bodied long jumpers 53 years ago.

He made it just barely past 27 feet. So the real issue is how the hell does Germany not have at least 5 people who can jump farther? While to the average person 27 feet is a long way, in world class long jumping it's nothing to write home about.

I've watched world class long jump competitions where of the 12 jumpers in the final, 8 made it over 27 feet...on their first legal jump.
