No, no, this was actually the synthetic marijuana equivalent of country music.

These people would have been fine if they had access to real country.

I'd compare it more to bath salts, but yeah.  I agree.

That wasn't country music, it was Keith Urban. Big difference.

The biggest difference, it seems, is that Keith Urban fans can't hold their liquor.

There's a reason Country Music is always referred to as Country Music.

With most genres, you don't have to add the word music to it. Rock & Roll, Blues, Jazz, Rap, Hip Hop, etc. With Country Music, however, you need that reminder that it's supposed to be music.

The only time I've ever enjoyed Country Music was at a free concert in Dallas by one of the big guys.

Calling Keith Urban country is a bit of a stretch. He's ridiculously poppy, even by Nashville standards.

Yeah, Keith Urban was never country, just a miscategorized Australian pop singer, much like Rascal Flatts.

He was raised on a tractor in overalls and boots
Been to college and then law school since leaving his roots
Came home in a Lexus, he left in a Ford
Country ain't country no more.
He told his daddy catch up with the times
He said now a days people trade heifers online
Dad ain't sealing deals with a handshake like before
Country ain't country no more.
No, country ain't country no more.
The back forty was sold to make up for hard times
Then sold by the half acre lot overnight
The houses went up and the trees were cut down
And there went the finest deer hunting around
Lord, everyone's locking their doors
'Cause country ain't country no more.
Now his dad sits in traffic looking 'round at the change
Watching crews turn the county road into four lanes
The old Sunday drive has turned into a chore
Country ain't country no more.
Lord, country ain't country no more.
The back forty was sold to make up for hard times
Then sold by the half acre lot overnight
The houses went up and the trees were cut down
And there went the finest deer hunting around
Lord, everyone's locking their doors
'Cause country ain't country no more.
There's no turning back
And you just can't ignore
That country ain't country no more.
No, country ain't country no more...
Country certainly isn't country anymore...

maybe that's why I find him tolerable as a guilty pleasure-

he's not real modern country because there's no Jeebus in his songs, I'm surprised that real 'Merricans even go see him.

I think the only thing left off of the POP portion is either Ludicrous or Lil John making an appearance.

In both cases, I don't think I've ever heard either of them produce something entire on their own.  They are always there as a guest.

More like, exposure to excessive amounts of alcohol. And 46 out of 18,000 in attendance is pretty minor.

Reminds me of of the first Kiss farewell tour back in 97 or 98. We had Ted Nugent and Skidrow playing as well; the amount of booze and pot throughout the amphitheatre  was amazing. When I first got to my section I thought the billow of smoke was from warmup; oh hell no it was a fog of weed smoke - there were no shortages of joints throughout the theater either.

/had a farking blast, unfortunately kiss refuses to die now; surprised Sebastian Bach isn't dead as well.
