(Short List)   Consumers can now buy chocolate chip cookie-flavored water. And by 'consumers,' we mean 'Americans,' like that's a huge surprise   (shortlist.com) divider line 19

I fail to see your problem, subby. It's just one more version of no-calorie chemical-water.

Another case of life imitating an SNL skit.

This. I love sparkling water. We go through a twelve-pack about every two days in my house

We're too cool for flavored water now huh? I assume water flavored with fermented grain is still teh coolest ever though right? And we can all prove how cool we are by describing how much more obscure our favorite fermented grain flavored water is than your favorite fermented grain flavored water?

/rather people drink chocolate chip flavored water than soda
//but then I'm not cool enough for Fark, I guess, despite my best efforts

Nothing like a cool, refreshing chocolate chip cookie to quench the thirst.

Is this the thread where we mock and decry the choices of others? Stupid question I know: they all are.

Heh. I've had a bottle of that in my pantry for a while, now. Just can't seem to work up the courage.

Some people on this planet can't even get fresh water, and we've got so much we've got to artificially-flavor it to move it off the shelves?

SNL already did this....

Meh...as good a time as any.

Even at room temperature, there's barely any fizz, so I get the flat cola comparisons. As for taste -- you would have to try really, really hard to visualize a chocolate chip cookie to convince yourself that's what you're tasting. The taste is more molasses than anything.

My guess? Going by the overall flavor, it was probably some sort of aborted, diet malta-like product that was simply rebranded as "cookie"-flavored, in order to give it some greater demographic appeal.

/and the supermarket chain is HEB; that's where I got mine, anyway

I love chocolate chip cookies, and I wouldn't touch that stuff with a 10-foot pole.

Chocolate chip cookie-flavored water sounds like it would taste like  "Yoo-Hoo" or  "Kayo"
(a drink sold in the Midwest featuring a character from the comic strip "Moon Mullins" on the can)...
that is to say, god-awful.  Why not simply eat chocolate chip cookies and drink milk with them?
Easier to find, and tastes a heck of a lot better.
