Barney Google (with the Goo-Goo-Googly Eyes).  I've installed a Victrola on springs in my flivver so that I can listen while out for a jaunt.  It's the Darb, I say.  Sometimes I drive over to the local joint in my breezer for a joe with my dame, and I have that playing.  It's a patella apiarius,I tell you.

Depends on my mood. Tchaikovsky 's Violin Concerto in D major op.35 if I'm feeling chill and just want to drive. Tool's Sober if I'm felling shiatty/pissed. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's Thrift Shop or Katy Perry's Roar if I'm feeling silly.

Seeing as most songs are under 5 minutes long, unless you're only going to the local convenience store, I would think you would need several favorite driving songs.

As for mine, I've never understood the concept of having certain music for any particular activity. If I like something, I'll listen to it regardless of what I'm doing. What I listen to may change with mood, but not my activity.

The entire latest Fastball album, "Little White Lies". Nice blend of upbeat pop-rock and chill acoustic-y stuff. They're my go-to warm-weather-windows-down band.

It's really hard to compare people to the Beatles, because of all the cultural connotations, but on a purely "this is what the music sounds like" level, they're very early-to-mid Beatles with just enough Austin weird to keep it interesting.

(Not like you tell they've been my favorite band for over half my life...)

I prefer this one:

[static.musictoday.com image 300x300]

"Summer Song" and "Motorcycle Driver" may cause speeding. Use with caution.

Both excellent.  Long songs, no distracting vocals, relentless back beats and screaming
guitar.

Playing  Ceremony to a white highway lines .gif file, so getting a kick.

Sci-Fi, Thriller, Espionage, War, all my Favs. Then there's all my Stand Up comedy. I rarely listen to Music anymore. I hear Music playing in Strip Clubs but it all goes in one ear and right out the other. I don't pay attention to it. The Ides of March - ''Vehicle''

Hey, well I'm the friendly stranger
In the black sedan
Oh won't you hop inside my car?
I got pictures, got candy, I am a lovable man
I'd like to take you to the nearest star
I'm your vehicle baby
I'll take you anywhere you wanna go
I'm your vehicle woman
By now I'm sure you know
That I love ya (love you)
Need ya (need you)
I want to, got to have you child
Great God in heaven, you know I love you
Well if you want to be a movie star
I got the ticket to Hollywood
Well if you want to stay just like you are
You know I think you really should
I'm your vehicle baby
I'll take you anywhere you wanna go
I'm your vehicle woman
By now I'm sure you know
That I love ya (love you)
I need ya (need you)
I want to, got to have you child
Great God in heaven you know I love you
Oh you know I do
Well I'm the friendly stranger
In the black sedan
Oh won't you hop inside my car?
I got pictures, got candy, I am a lovable man
I'd like to take you to the nearest star
I'm your vehicle baby

That I love ya (love you)
