not a bad list,  but no 'paint it black?'

and 'hand of fate'  does kick ass, as does most of 'black and blue'

Because no one knows more about outdated bads and entertainment news better than Marketwatch

Never liked the Stones, never will

Ruby Tuesday has it all with the piano, the digeridoo and everything else. But with so many Stones hits and of course a subjective list, there is just no way.

Mick Jagger blows out 71 candles

Euphemism?

2014-07-27 10:48:15 AM
Well with that attitude he's getting No Sympathy for the Devil.

2014-07-27 10:49:04 AM
Oddly enough, Mick was in my dream last night. I was walking along a highway going to work and Mick kept driving past me on a golf cart and wouldn't stop to give me a ride. When I finally made it to work I began telling people what an ass hole he is.

2014-07-27 10:51:14 AM
I would have guessed he was a lot older.

List inexplicably fails to have You Can't Always Get What You Want or Sympathy for the Devil.

2014-07-27 10:52:52 AM
Apologies to George Harrison, but the Stones were way better than the farking Beatles.

So I was at a party some time like 1990, and after Brown Sugar played, an African-American 20-something female announced that Brown Sugar was the most racist song ever.

I wanted to make a counterpoint that it had the opposite effect. That as a 15 year old hearing the song in real time, hearing Mick Jagger saying "Brown Sugar how come you taste so good", to me he was saying that eating black pussy was awesome, and that changed my previous narrow-minded prejudiced mind that on its own thought that black pussy might be gross.

Anyway, I didn't make the counterpoint, because it's controversial enough to debate an African-American about what is prejudice and it's controversial to talk to females about eating pussy like it's the ultimate expression for a man to show love to a woman, but if it was by coersion like in the slave days, well that's rapey.

Anyway the song is fiction, so no slave pussy as good as it might have been was coerced, but the song did unprejudice my thinking.

Hardy-r-r: Never liked the Stones, never will

I have said it before and I will say again, "the most overrated band in the history of music".

No Sympathy for the Devil, it seems.

Add "You Got the Silver" to the list.

I was thinking "how does anyone dislike The Stones?" But then I remembered how much I dislike Rush.

I dislike them because they're melodramatic if you're wondering.

My favorite Stones song that will never make a top ten list "Mother's Little Helper"

Used to perfection in the movie "Casino"

Beast of Burden. Shattered second.

Well, the main thing is that they got Gimme Shelter in there.

If there's to be a "Some Girls" track, I'd go for "Before They Make Me Run."

No, of course not, that would be stupid. R.E.M. would suffice however.

I can come up with a better list typing with one hand behind my back:

Sway
Sympathy for the Devil
Ruby Tuesday
Rocks Off
Midnight Rambler (Live)
Salt of the Earth
biatch
You Can't Always Get What You Want
Too Much Blood (Just kidding!)

About the only one on the list I agree with is Gimme Shelter and it should be number one.

Mick Jagger is the lead singer on Happy. Stupid list maker.

Keith Richards takes the lead on Little T&A

I'll correct myself before someone else does. KR also takes lead on Happy.

But Little T&A is better song.

No "Cocksucker Blues"?

2014-07-27 12:15:47 PM
I'd stick "Memo from Turner" in there.

Moonlight Mile
Wild Horses

Stray Cat Blues
Street Fightin' Man
Salt Of The Earth
Beast Of Burden
Far Away Eyes

This list is better, but just like the article writer got it wrong by only ever listening to classic rock stations, I suspect your youth is why you picked the songs you did (meaning your age relative to mine).

The Stones were the greatest rock and roll band in the world. I've seen them when they've toured every 4-5 years since I was 13. The only reason I don't say ARE the greatest is because except for one or two songs, they don't do their early stuff. And I blame Cheap Trick, partly. Some years ago the Stones were at one of their shows where Trick did just all big radio hits, and the crowd went nuts. So Mick (the fans were just drunk, Mick) decided that's the way they would go.

/owns the Sticky Fingers with the real zipper
//Mick's b-day was yesterday
