As if this was ever in doubt.

Based on the trailers, I thought what's theaters now was the animated series.

Can I be honest about something?

I have no desire to see this movie and I seriously don't understand what the hype.

Oh, I've been dying to see the movie for months.

An animated series?  I have my doubts, unless someone like the BAS crew is behind it.

Congratulations. You've been honest and I think we can appreciate that, but can you understand that others are looking forward to what looks like a fun film? You don't have to understand it, just be happy that they've found something to look forward to, and possibly even enjoy.

Pumped for the movie but having seen the Guardians eps of animated Avengers and Spider-Man I have zero interest in this cartoon.

How can you not understand the hype about a raccoon with a machine gun?

Unfortunately, Marvel doesn't have an all seeing God Producer/Writer/Fan/Mentor like Bruce Timms overseeing their animation series. Timms is the single reason that the DC animated features and series have been so damn excellent. If film execs would get their heads out of their asses, they'd put him in charge of all their film products, and let him guide their live action projects to excellence, because I don't think that man is entirely human, his work has been so overwhelmingly good. He is DC's Anointed Boddhisatvha standing against the tides of suckage, and perhaps it isn't fair to project my hopes upon him, for he does have a full plate, but I am not a good Buddhist, so perhaps one day I'll forgive myself for this...

Honestly, not interested. There are many things that Marvel does right. However, animation is not it. With few exceptions, ever since Marvel Animation started having direct control over series, the ones they have put out are rather bland and uninteresting (Avengers Assemble, USM, Hulk, Iron Man, FF).

The only one I can remember truly enjoying was the "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes," which was, of course, shiat-canned after 2 seasons and replaced with an inferior version.

If I want animated super heroes, I turn to DC. When I want them in live-action, I'll take Marvel.

I'd rather have a handful of cute girls running around in skimpy outfits.

Yeah of recent Marvel animation this seems to be the lone bright spot.  Assemble is an absolute train wreck in comparison.

I know Paul Dini is one of the writers on the Hulk series but I just can't bring myself to watch.

When this Marvel bubble pops, it's going to pop hard.

It's starting to feel like when Starbucks kept expanding to the point where they were across the street from one another.

It won't be that bad. Remember Disney and Marvel are one company. They will survive.

I really liked that cartoon, too.  In fact, that was the first time I saw this universe's Guardians of the Galaxy.  The team I knew of were all lone survivors of their particular planets.

And that cartoon seemed to be setting the stage for the movies.  I was all psyched to see Wasp & Ms. Marvel in the movies but no.  I guess I'll have to wait until Ant-Man for Wasp and maybe never for Carol Danvers.

Marvel must have pretty damn high expectations of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, since it was just announced they'd given the go-ahead for the sequel - and the first one hasn't even been released yet.

It's been screened in a few places, for the early reviews.

Screened, yes. Officially released, no. Still shows they're putting a hell of a lot of faith in the first one being a commercial success though. Not that I blame them, I'm stoked for it, looks like great fun.

How old are the Farkers griping about this children's cartoon on Disney?

I have no desire to see it but my eight and elven year old sons will be thrilled when I tell them this

Unfortunately, there's not going to be a Janet VanDyne in the Ant-Man movie. The main synopsis was given out by the cast yesterday, and Evangeline Lilly is going to be playing Hank's daughter, Hope Pym. Now, that doesn't mean she can't become Wasp in the MCU, but still...

Why is Ant Man not in Avengers 2?  It would be a great tie in for his movie too.

Because it makes more sense for a guy who swore off being a superhero and making an army of powered suits to then remake an army of powered suits than it does for the actual creator of ultron to make ultron....apparently

Thirded.  That Avengers cartoon was excellent.

Already bought tickets for the movie this Friday. Can't wait. And I love the Ultimate Spiderman series, the episode with the Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the best episodes. The Avengers series, while not quite as good, is still watchable. So I'd go for a Guardians cartoon set in the same universe. Sounds like fun.

I assumed that they're saying even if it isn't a commercial success, if that plot is important to the finale for the Avengers movie plot lines, it's worth it to go ahead with regardless. Spending 200 Mil making sure that their anticipated massive series ending blockbuster is the best thing ever would be worth it in the end.
