Best comment I saw about that whole thing was a picture of Larson's truck after the race with the caption "did slamming his dick in the door cause all that damage?"

Totally missed the race last night.  Bummed out.  I've got some sweet corn and burgers to cook up though.

I always hope for the best when either of the Dillons is racing close to Harvick.

Not if you can't design an engine to run on sugar.

No TV here, just the leaderboard. How much crap did he dump on pit road?

Richard Childress probably has access to places most folks only dream about at racetracks.

Those purple pillows on the tower are cool looking.  Does anyone know how that system works?

The 5 vaguely resembles some of the old Havoline cars.

I didn't see what you're talking about... the scoring tower? I'm pretty sure this is the first race for the new trylon at Indy. It's freaking fancy.

I saw the trylon (I guess that's it) a bit earlier in the race and it just showed nothing but purple pillows until just before the commercial and then it went to the car numbers/position.  So, maybe the connection or processing inside the camera system isn't fast enough?

Is it just me, or do these cars seem really crabbed out with the ass end way out to the right? Looks kinda like how some of the COTs were running a few years ago.

They are. They intentionally misalign the rear axles to help with left turns

Huh, that time it looked different, I think what's happening is that they are fitting the 43 cars into a space designed for 33 or something.

I was going to comment on this earlier.  Back before the COT, all the cars were jacked around somehow.  Now they have more strict regulations on the body height, but apparently they haven't addressed the axles and the way the cars are crabbing down the straights.

I'm pretty sure they didn't want to go any higher than the old trylon. With the old system positions 33-43 in the field would kind of scroll on the bottom of the board. They can do all sorts of cool shiat with the new one. I can't imagine the cost on that beast. Ours was replaced a few years ago, and it was costly to say the least.

I wonder if Rick Hendrick will pay off Richard Petty to get the #9.

Rumor is Ambrose is thinking of teaming up with Penske and heading back to V8 Supercars. So the 9 might become available in a year or two.

Probably, if Ambrose left Petty would probably just trade with Hendrick for the 24.

So, DuPont has been scaling back and Jeff is getting older.  Also, Chase is looking really good and Napa needs to find a place.  I'm just not sure how it would work with a rookie driver at Childress  Hendrick Racing and switching Napa from MWR.

NAPA fired MWR last year is currently not in the cup series as a car sponsor

Napa hasn't been with MWR for a while now. They got sick of the bullshiat.

I'm waiting for them both to be in cup and the inevitable wreck involving both of them.

Also I like the way he does his burnouts. A quick spin around and then roast the tires, the motor, and everything else!
